MEGO Articles

An interview with Marty Abrams, who led the Mego Corporation during the '70s and produced all those great Mego action figures. This interview is from the January 1999 issue of Tomart's Action Figure Digest (issue number 60). Click here to download a PDF file containing the interview. (Thanks to Greg P. for the scan!)

Parodies

Thanks to Tim Parati, here are Apes parodies from '70s issues of MAD and Cracked magazines. Tim noted:

The Cracked Beneath spoof I have is in something called KingSized Cracked 7th Anniversary (from 1973) and there was no ape cover. Maybe this was a reprint. The Escape spoof was in Giant Cracked 9th Anniversary which for some reason I have listed as also from 1973! No ape cover there either.
