Malibu Creek State Park 50th Anniversary Event with Apemania

Report by Robert Napton

Malibu Creek State Park (formerly the Fox Ranch) celebrated 50 years on September 26, 2026, with a large event that brought in around 1500 people. Arts, crafts, food, music, and stories were all on hand. Thanks to a collaboration with APEMANIA, the Apes returned in force to MCSP for the first time since the television series to delight the crowd. A few of the Apes visited the iconic location where the human cage stood, where Cornelius and Zira had their on-screen kiss, and where Taylor ran up the stone steps trying to escape.

Fun was had by all involved.
