This is very exciting! Frank Maiocco contributed high-resolution
scans of four contact sheets of photos from Planet of the Apes.
Frank, Dana Gould, and Greg all won eBay auctions of these contact sheets;
they shared their scans with each other, and now Frank has shared them with
everyone.
Three of the contact sheets are photos from a scene that was shot, but deleted
from the final film. During the wagon escape from Ape City, gorilla soldiers
stop the wagon. Zira explains that Taylor and Nova are plague carriers, and the
soldiers let them through.
For three of the four sheets, Frank sent in super-high-resolution scans,
which allowed me to crop the images to 300-DPI individual photos. Under the
thumbnails below, you can download a high-res version of each contact sheet,
or you can view the high-res individual photos (and download high-res versions
of those, too).
