My wife's late father was James Thomas Woods. He was a set painter in
Hollywood for many years. He worked on the original 1968 POTA film as a set
painter. He's not listed in the credits however: it's my understanding that
only the leads in each department were listed in the end credits in those
days.
We recently came into possession of some production photos that JT Woods had
taken during the summer of 1967. Mostly photos of props and backgrounds, but
the statue of the Lawgiver is prominent.
JT Woods is the gentleman standing next to the 'rock wall'. Unfortunately,
there are no notes or captions on any of the other photos, so the other crew
members are unidentified.
JT Woods worked on quite a few big-name productions in his career, namely
Blade Runner (another one of my all-time favorites).
