Mark Talbot-Butler was an extraordinarily generous Planet of the Apes
fan who spent hundreds of hours scanning and cleaning almost 2400 Apes
stills and contributed the high-res images to this site. In the months before
he died on December 29, 2020, Mark was working to clean hundreds more images
he acquired via eBay, from fan Rob Reading, and other sources. He had planned
to submit the images to the Archive.
Over the past couple of months, Mark posted various "sneak peeks"
of his progress on his Facebook group,
The Definitive
Planet of the Apes Group.
I have collected those images from Facebook and present them below. I'm sure
Mark would be annoyed that I'm sharing the heavily-compressed images from
Facebook, as he took pride in only contributing the best, highest-resolution
images he could.
I'll miss you, Mark. Thank you for everything over the years.
