Koba

1/5-scale polystone

Sculpted by Jason Shannaman

Available from Gillman Productions

Dave's notes:

A nice bust from Jason, Koba arrives ready to paint with minimal clean up. What it lacks, however, is the character's snarling ferocity. Viewed in isolation, it's a pleasing addition on the shelf, but when placed next to Paul Fay's 1/4 scale version, it barely gets noticed.

Koba by Killer Kits

Koba

1/4-scale resin

Sculpted by Paul Fay

Available from Killer Kits

Dave's notes:

Paul's sculpte captures the character in all his vicious glory. The upper- and lower-teeth are cast in two separate rows, and it's worth mentioning how humorous the character looked without them. Once glued in place and painted, it's a different story... Mind your fingers! The only thing I don't care for with Paul's sculpt is I feel the details are carved into the face a little too deeply.
