Not sure exactly what they mean, but this is a chimp hieroglyph worn on the front of some of the chimp tunics in the first two apes film. They were later removed from the costumes during the production of the final film in the series, Battle for the Planet of the apes. They later made another appearance in the apes television series. This is the brown version of this glyph. But there was also another version worn on the sleeve of the chimp tunic. This was also a green version of the pictured glyph.
