They are as different as someone making changes to the actual Mona Lisa vs. someone doing a photo essay on the Mona Lisa. You may be too myopic to see that but I am not.

Well for anything that came across as a personal attack I apologize for.

But I had stated 3 previous times why I thought what BrokenSea and Ansanaut did were two very different things, yet you refused to accept it every time. And I'll remind you that you are the one who brought BrokenSea into this discussion, not I. You asked the question if my earlier comments about Ansanaut's script revisions also applied to BrokenSea's Audio adaptation. I answered your question and gave my reasons why. So when you continued to pursue the issue it seemed like you were playing gotcha and trying to get me to dis BrokenSea's efforts.

Also, I never said it was inappropriate for Ansanaut to insert elements of the later film' backstory into the script. In fact I said exactly the opposite in this post: http://movies.groups.yahoo.com/group/pota/message/49425. So in your last post it seemed that you were attributing statements to me that I never made.

And if you wish to bring up the female Orangutan yet again, I never thought it was a female from my first viewing of Conquest back in 1972. I never heard it refered to as a female until someone said it here. When that happened I checked the script and the script refers to it as a male Orangutan not female. It is not playing gotcha to point that out or ask if anyone has any evidence that it is a female.

And again I apologize for anything I said that was too harsh or came across as a personal attack. I should learn never to post late at night after I've had a few drinks. :-)

BTW- on a slightly different topic- click on the Fox Movie Channel link below and look at the photo they have up for BATTLE. I've seen that image before online somewhat recently, and always wondered about the jacket MacDonald was wearing. Do we see that in the film? Seem kind of strange he'd be wearing a jacket in the desert.

For those who ordered from Amazon.com, I just received an e-mail confirmation that my Apes Boxset order was shipped out today.

Expected to arrive on the 5th (wednesday). I ordered it with 2 day shipping. Price was $91.95 complete total $98.93

So if anyone ordered, be expecting a confirmation soon from Amazon.
