don't see that Lawgiver writing Sacred Scrolls that warn against humanity as the
original Lawgiver would have been doing at roughly the same time (as stated

If they were in the same universe (making RISE Leo Davidson's world 20 years prior), then humanity in Leo's time would be well aware of the ape revolution that began 20 years earlier. As such, they wouldn't be using apes on the Oberon, and Leo wouldn't be so floored by the idea of intelligent apes. Therefore, I think it's pretty clear that RISE nad POTA2001 can not be in the same universe.

Yeah, to some degree I think this idea could help tie *some* loose ends. If I remember, Leo arrives back on Earth about a hundred or so years later from when he left it (the time counter seems to suggest so, but that's not something that can say for certain, because it could well have continued on after we lose sight of it). I can't imagine that the only genetically modified apes lived on that space station, some could have been created on Earth and used for other tasks. If these apes begin to get more intelligent and also rebellious, then Thade's arrival has more impact.
However, I don't think that Rise will be tied in with Burton's film, and the reasons for genetically modifying them seems different for each film, but it's still an interesting idea for the sake of it. Still, this is all theorising (naturally), but I do like the idea and feel it helps "solve" a problem... or partly.

Caesar living and operating in BATTLE is just a by-product of the time misplacement, which wasn't supposed to happen in the original outcome of the timeline.
For instance, some of the events which originated the earlier Nuclear War in the nineties, 200 years before, were caused by Cornelius and Zira, when they brought to the death of the "evil scientist" and the fall of the president (conjecture).

Unfortuntely, most of the eighties series were shot on video. Or better, shot on film, then transferred on video for heavy post-production job. Original film elements, which featured incomplete and flawed versions, were destroyed.

.html First Caesar was named caesar since a child and that was his professional name also. Milo was his birth name and if Armando called him that who knows? Salome was the Chimp caesar replaced after the chimp became swiss chess and Caesar was probably called Salome for legal reasons to authorities who came calling after Cornelius and Zira were murdered and was done that way in Escape if you remember. Since a chimp named Salome was regestered to Armando shortly before everyone was killed in Escape, it makes sense.
The TV series was ofcourse shot on 35mm film and weather the original elements are still around, knowing FOX, I bet they are. They could transfer it two ways ...Pillar Box where their are black bars on the sides only for the 1.37 academy ratio. They could also do 1.78.1 for Hi def TV specs with black bars on top and bottom of the film transfer and would not be noticable on most Hidef TVs but some info would be lost but it wouldnt be that much since most cameras had safe action areas for this ratio even then, so its possible to do it without any detriment to the stories.
I might go Pillar box so nothing is lost, but that changes everyday for my taste. 1.78.1 would look alittle more cinematic. Whatever they do, I hope they release it on BluRay..Take care john <.html

Because the elements found were complete, even the titles, they were able to re-compose it for 16:9 I doubt any company here in the U.S. would go to that trouble or expense.

However, I don't think that Rise will be tied in with Burton's film, and the reasons for genetically modifying them seems different for each film, but it's still an interesting idea for the sake of it. Still, this is all theorising (naturally), but I do like the idea and feel it helps "solve" a problem... or partly.

It's already been said that RISE is a "prequel/reboot" to the original film.
The only connection between RISE and the 2001 debacle is that they're both produced by the gonzo modern 20th Century Fox.

Since a chimp named Salome was regestered to Armando shortly before everyone was killed in Escape, it makes sense.

For Seinfeld the went back to the original 35MM film stock and completely reformatted. The should be able to do that for any series shot on film.
I've taken three screen captures from the first episode of the TV series and cropped them to 16X9. It's just a question of where to position the crop.

So it's very unlikely Armando used "Caesar" as his professional name.

Sorry, but how would he justify getting the sex wrong of a baby chimpanzee? I mean, it's not as if it's not obvious what sex a baby chimpanzee would be when it's born. They're fairly similar to human babies in that department, give or take a bit.

There's the "Green Lantern", which opens a week before "Apes". There's already a poster and a teaser trailer:

There's also a teaser trailer for "Cars 2", which opens opposite "Apes":

Not to mention "Harry Potter", which as you know opens tonight at 12:01 midnightish and is already being predicted to make $ 130 million this weekend. That's the best kind of publicity. The final flick opens next summer a couple of weeksish after "Apes".

The lawgiver statue is pretty cool. Great find.

Has anyone seen that show on Sy Fy Channel, "Hollywood Treasures"? That's about those Profiles in History people. Probably how they found the statue will eventually appear on it.

.htmlThe Lawgiver statue is a collectors item now(I have it). In the "OLD" days it took years and scarcity to collect any value, and a want by the public. I notice that as in the Apes stuff small numbers are available, quickly sell out and just like speacial edition CDs and LPs are taken off the market to create a supposed value. Its very sad. Release something in limited numbers, have it sell out, and all of a sudden its a collectable. A much different world.

never seen these covers before. Are these an earlier U.S. release that
the versions that came out in the early 90's?
