I was in touch with Hunter about the possability of him hosting scans
of the Adventure Comics issues - I've only got scans the first three
and a few of the spin-offs, but it would be a start. As it turns out,
he'd rather not post anything that recent incase of any legal
problems, which I entirely understand. I said I'd try again in about
ten years!

I also started colourising the Hungarian Monkey Planet comic, but I
can only spend about an hour on it before I get frustrated and give
up on it for another couple of weeks. I don't think I'll get very far
with it.

The only real 'ape' activity I've had recently is that I finally got a
Mego. We'll partially at least. Cornelius in a Zaius outfit. (I guess
some kid got a bit mixed up years ago and kept it that way until it
found it's way to Ebay).

I must say that will all the talk about new megos coming (any news on
those?) and all the 'mod'ing and costuming everyone's been posting, I
think I've got the Mego bug. I'm hoping that I can get a few more and
start creating dioramas of my own.

Thanks for all the pics everyone.

And while everyone is checking the pic that graham posted of his Caesar,
check out some of his nice art in that same photo album!

A few weeks ago, somebody on Ebay was selling some plans from the
original movie, and there was a photo of the "alphabet" that the apes
used. Did anybody keep a picture of it? Reason being is that I also
dabble in calligraphy, and I scribbled it down but who knows if my
scribbles made it to the recycling bin....

They all came out fantastic! Great job. Wish more people could find a
way to have that much fun with Planet of the Apes. The franchise would
still be quite popular today if so.

    Hey, wait a minute -

"Of note, this DVD release of Battle for the Planet of the Apes
contains the extended television cut that runs 96 minutes instead of
the 86-minute version that was shown in theaters during the summer of
    1973",

I've got the 'Ultimate Head' and my version of Battle is still the
edited-down version. Is this some kind of European region rip-off??

Also, I meant to add pictures of the troglodyte village I visited in
France last year. Instead, here's a link with a few (small) pictures:

    http://www.troglodyte.info/troglodyte_photos.html"

The subterranean chapel was very impressive - it was really huge and
opened up to the surface, throwing the light in in a very peculiar
    way.

    I strongly suspect it.

I don’t think anyone payed to have a PAL version made of BATTLE so they used it as a dumping vehicle.

That’s what they commonly do here.

*sigh*...Ditto on getting my paws on Ursus...I am so disappointed with
the current helmet, but the geeb-o-rama site is the perfect fix for

Why am I saving my sideshows for? Why???? So my kids can sell them
at a profit when I'm gone? Why can't I enjoy them now?

My partner made  this for my birthday... hmm... 15 years ago.

The photo doesn't do it justice, the snout  was inches of pure fudge.

Don’t get me started on what I don’t have time too do!

Owning a business is a mixture of insanity and masochism!

I would NEVER have gone ahead had I realized.

Should be all worthwhile in a couple of months though….

My 8yo DS found the gun (which fit perfectly to the 1:6 scale!) and helped me to pose Cornelius over a box of brownie bites.

These sideshow dolls are mighty impressive, no?

You should check out the Cornelius sharpshooter photos on my blog.  The photos are so impressive when you click on them to enlarge them.  The eyes on the 2nd photograph are so convincingly menacing that you forget it's a 12 inch doll!!

That's awesome, thanks John. I'd been trying to collect them all.

I already have two of the tracks you couldn't add so now I'm only
      missing one, dammit.
How did you get these? And also, do you have the names for the
individual tracks? These are the names I got so far:

01 - Intro To Planet Of The Apes

      04 - New Adventure
05 - As We Really Are
      06 - Jungle Fever
      07 - Work It Out
08 - Live And Let Live

      11 - Hey Pet

I've put the introduction from the PC game, up to where the player
takes over, on YouTube, for anyone who hasn't seen it before:

      http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=iAqxWWz5ifY

I believe their are lots more familiar characters on the other levels
but I've never got past level 1!

Thanks for this Neil, I've thought about getting the game for awhile (Not really a gamer though and I'd read it was difficult ) so to see this 5 minute clip is useful... hmm... still 3 weeks before Christmas... might have  to go on the "List"

Yeah, exactly - I have no interest in games either but I saw it in a
second-hand shop a few years ago and thought 'why not?', I managed to
play for about an hour once but it's just too hard! Might set my
nephews on it over the Christmas holidays.

I bought the game on computer when it came out & freed my human, ran
into Dr. Zaius & Zira.... and several gorilla soldiers. That's about
as far as I got. I bought it a few months later for Playstation
hoping my 7 yr old might do better & I could just watch him figure it
out, but some of the puzzles are geared twoard people who know these
type of games. Guess I'll never see exactly where the game leads. ;)

Here's a step-by-step walkthrough of the game if you do get round to
having another go, but even this is really long:

.html Well, this is coming along very well... I've always wanted to hear this LP, and now it's looking like I may finally be able to... (I can't download anything that's been posted on so far though, as my computer is on the brink... Hopefully this will be transferred to CD soon...)

I'm trying to figure out now if the two of you (Neil and John) have all the tracks compiled? If so, will you be making them available to this group?

I have a CD given to me by Jeff. One of the people responsible for
this album. My CD burner is acting up but once I can burn a CD
without it including static noises, I'd be happy to share. I'd also
be willing to send MP3's of all the tracks to anyone who would like
      me to email them.

Yeah, exactly - I have no interest in games either but I saw it in a
second-hand shop a few years ago and thought 'why not?', I managed to
play for about an hour once but it's just too hard! Might set my
nephews on it over the Christmas holidays.

"Cheap"... my kind of price :)

I must admit I have  seen these on E-bay ( the last time I missed out because I couldn't decide whether to bid  or not because the seller only had 1 feed back point !!)

Puzzles and codes though... I just want to hunt "humans" and "shoot" things !!!

      Best,Graham.
