This tiny version of the ship came via eBay. I wanted a TV series crashed version, but I'm also running out of shelf space, so this little diorama 'inspired' by the first episode seemed the ideal solution. Not much to do to the ship other than paint it, but I did add putty to form a 'dome' at the back, as they did for the TV show. The base was a piece of oval-shaped and laser cut MDF, onto which I built up some more putty to represent the terrain. I scraped a 'trench' a la TV show, and the vegetation was assembled from all sorts of scraps found in my spares box. Hand painted with acrylics, and all in all, a pleasing little build that only took a couple of days.
