Sequels? I doubt very much Burton will come up with something as intriguing or moving as "Escape" or even "Conquest". What interests me is the chimp love interest. That's original. How does that play? I doubt very much the "surprise" ending they're going to use is in the script.

Well, I love POTA so don't get me wrong.
But I can only be truthful from what I've have read.
And this thing is damn good, so we'll just have to see what happens at the box office.

Thanks for the Welcome Rory!

it
PLANET, BENEATH?), and the affect it had on you. Did you collect Apes
related items as a kid. What did you think of the DVDs (some APES fans have
complaints).>>

I'm pretty sure the first movie in the series I ever saw was the original
film. This was sometime in the early 70s. I must have been in first grade. I
can vividly remember staying up late to watch it on an old black and white
TV. I remember that the mutants from BENEATH kind of scared the crap out of
me the first time I saw them. I also remember thinking that the ending in
CONQUEST was pretty clever. I was pretty caught up in the whole APE
phenomenon as a kid. It was the first pop culture thing that I latched onto,
which paved the way for future fascinations with stuff like Spiderman, KISS,
Star Wars, etc.

I had a lot of the toys including a bunch of stuff I still have: all of the
Mego figures, the Mego Stallion, the Mego bendy figures, and some of the
Marvel Mags.

Things I used to have but don't anymore included the Mego Ape City Playset,
the cereal bowl and cup set, a squirt gun with a big Cornelius head, coloring
books, puzzles, the board game, Halloween costumes and the trash can.

I like the DVDs. My main complaint is with the sound on ESCAPE. I have a nice
surround sound setup at home and to have to watch that film in Mono is like
torture. I wish they all could have been done in Dolby 5.1. The lack of
extras on each disc would be annoying if it wasn't for the additional disc
BEHIND. That has tons of awesome stuff on it that makes up for the skimpy
extras on the individual discs.

<<About getting the Medicom figures. I've sort of made fun of how everyone
seems obsessed with these things, but hey! They're the best classic-apes
related items created so far (with the exception of some APEMANIA.COM stuff)>>

I am a big time toy collector, so I am very happy with the Medicoms. I
recently bought all of them except for Cornelius, so he is the one I want
most. I also need some of the newer waves (Taylor astronaut, the CONQUEST
figures, the various Caesars, etc). I noticed that some of the prices that
have been going out of wack on ebay. The Gorilla soldier with the long beard
has been going for over $100, and the supposed Caesar variants have been
commanding big bucks too. Is the Battle Caesar supposed to be rare or is this
a case of dealer hype?

Well once again, thanks for the welcome. I look forward to some fun times on
this list as the excitement for the new film builds.

.htmlHey gang,

I may not like much about the last two APES films, but at least they had
great music.  I just got the CD in the mail.  Apart from the music, the great
thing about this CD is the packaging.  The guys at Film Score Monthly are
POTA fans and they know how to do it right.  Lots of great pictures,
including poster reproductions.  FANTASTIC!  The CONQUEST score has lots of
cues not heard in the film, but sadly most are in mono (God Damn those low
budgets all to hell!!!).  I haven't had time yet to listen to BATTLE but it's
fully stereo.

Hope everyone gets there's soon.                  -- Rory

Actually, it's not all That original. If you watch the body language in the
original closely, as well as other clues in the dialogue, you'll see that
Zira was Taylor's love interest in the film -- Even more so in the book!
But, she was engaged, and even a great personality and intelligent
conversation can't quite compete a hot bod on a girl who can't talk! I
think we've all had that dream at one time or another. Whoowaah..

Someone taped it off Fox TV. It ends kind of abrubtly. Hopefully the full

Nope, there's a copy of Boulle's paperback (which in my experience is very
common, at least in the UK) which has a picture of Urko on it, presumably
from when the TV series was launched.

If I remember correctly, the picture is a close-up of Urko's face, and is
the same as the picture on the cover of the 1975 UK annual. I might be wrong
as I'm doing this from memory, but if it isn't that picture then it's
something very similar.

Yep, that's what he meant. Original comic strip adventures featuring Alan,
Pete and Galen. Not exactly the best Ape comics had to offer I don't think,
but nevertheless it's a chance to see our TV heroes (not Rory's of course!)
in comic form.

As far as I know, yes. (I don't own that many of the UK comics myself)

I'm a fan of the comics, I must admit. They may not have been perfect but I
thought most of them were fun, and at least they dared to try some different
stories. That pretty much divided opinion between the fans I think, but I'm
glad they tried things that hadn't been done before (Breck's ghost, the "Ape
City" series) rather than retread the same ground that had already been
covered by the films, TV series, Marvel mags, etc.

And as for the art being "crappy", well that's all in the eye of the
beholder, isn't it. I wouldn't class it as being the best art comics had to
offer, but I thought MC Wyman drew the apes pretty damn well.

Yep, the UK issues has a lot less pages and were usually teamed up with
something else (e.g. Dracula Lives - see attached picture). It went through
many incarnations, with different titles. There were very few pages of story
in one issue, so usually one issue of the US edition would provide enough
material for several issues of the UK series. For example in the issue
pictured in the attached scan, there is only 7 pages of PotA strip (plus a

However, the series did still run out of material and resorted to the

Love 'em. Terrific art (by Ploog, Alcala and Sutton especially) and some of

    Terry (and Ken!)
I recently visited Ken Taylor and he showed me some foreign language Planet
of the Apes comics I found quite interesting. They were based on the TV
    Series.
Ken, what country were these from again?
Terry, are you aware of these/can you tell me more?

I agree with you as far as the Marvel stories are concerned. Doug Moench
always did (and still does) know how to tell a good story (check out any
of his work on Batman or The Specter for two good examples). And the

    .htmlHey Matt,

Just to reply to some of the things you brought up....

About the DVD's.....  Yeah, I too am bothered that ESCAPE wasn't done in
stereo.  It was done in stereo on the original widescreen laserdisc (which I
still have), so I don't know why they couldn't have done it here.  I suspect
that when director Don Taylor was still alive, and they were doing the THX
transfers, he got consulted and voted to keep it mono, otherwise I don't
understand.  Incidentally, all the sequels were originally mono, but I'm sure
glad Fox has created stereo tracks for them now.

What do you think of PLANET's 5.1 soundtrack?  I, too, have a surround
system, and I'm very glad PLANET is in 5.1.  I think the mix could still use
some work.  There's not enough bass, and the dialogue should be
directionalized, but I'm still glad we have it that way.  You know, I read
years ago that Fox lost PLANET's original stereo tracks, so what we have now
may be I suspect a reconstruction.  I've got the DVD to 1967's "Dr. Dolittle"
and it's in its original 4.0 stereo, and it sounds very good, better than
PLANET.  So, I hope if this new movie is a huge hit, Fox will re-visit the
original films and beef-up the transfers (like in 16x9) and sound, especially
    PLANET.

Another thing that has bothered me since Fox put out these THX editions is
the packaging on PLANET.  WHY in God's name do they give away the Statue of
Liberty ending on the cover?!!!!   What an insult to a classic film and one
of the most famous finals in cinema history.  It's like putting the sled on
    the cover of "Citizen Kane"!!!
What was Fox thinking?!!!!   I'd hoped they'd change it for the DVD's, but
no.  Anyway, I so hate the DVD cover that I got on a computer and made up my
own using the original posters.  I've sent it to a few people, some in this
group.  I think it's nice to look at POTA's original 1-sheet on the DVD case.

So, you're a toy collector.  Have you been collecting the Sideshow Toy
Universal Monsters figures?  I'm also a big fan of those old horror movies,
and I think what Sideshow has done is fantastic.  I just wish they had the
    POTA license.

The prices for some of the Medicom figures on eBay is getting ridiculous.  I
know a guy who just paid $80.00 for one of the first soldier gorillas, but he
doesn't seem to mind.  I'm glad I've got all that I want.  I wish they'd just
get that Lawgiver figure out so I could be done with buying these things.

Okay, that's enough from me for now.

You know years ago I had to write them a letter asking them to stop calling

classic."  I don't think they even knew what kitsch meant.  Anyway, it really
pissed me off, so I wrote them, they published the letter, and then it became
    that "much beloved 60's classic."

    .html
.htmlOkay, so has everyone seen the new trailer now?  I'm glad Access Hollywood
showed it so I could tape it and freeze damn near every frame.

It was about what I expected based on the photos I've seen so far, but
there's still no way to determine what the new POTA will be like as a movie,
so the jury is still out.

What most surprised me is how underwhelming Rick Baker's makeup is.  I
actually think John Chambers' gorillas look better.  Baker has apparently
tried to solve Chambers' problems with mouth articulation by making the
appliances closer to the face and having the actors wear dentures that push
their own lips out more.  That way you see the actor's actual lips moving, at
least the bottom lips anyway.   I think this is clever and works better than
what Chambers did, but damn if it doesn't seem like too much of an
improvement.  Still, I look forward to seeing more.

I also noticed these apes still have the long legs of humans, so I guess
we're dealing with apes somewhat evolved towards men, yet still apes.

Other than that, I don't know what's with all of the jumping around.  Maybe
they better call this film "Planet of the Leaping Apes."  I guess it's
somebody's idea of cool, but that somebody must be ten years old.  Give me
    Boulle's original conception any day.

I have a feeling they will probably pace this film to move so quickly none of
the more discerning in the audience will have time to think too much about
whether or not it's better than the original, instead it's just gonna be
another ride movie.  In fact, they're probably getting "POTA - the Ride"
ready now up in Orlando.  Lots of leaping apes.

Yeah, we had this debate several months back. My basic argument was that
different species have been mating and having kids on Star Trek since Mr.
Spock-- who's half human and half Vulcan. So what? Big deal! But some folks
felt it was like having sex with animals. Well, all Clinton and Stumpy The

chimps were a 99.99.99% match genetically, that it would be like the
Cro-Magnon and the Neanderthals interbreeding. More caveman sex than
bestiality. And that it was more like bestiality to have sex with Nova since
she was less evolved. The two of us that were arguing this were having a
blast, but some members felt it was getting tiresome, so we agreed to
disagree and left it at that.

Yeah the packaging kind of bugged me at first too. I thought the exact same
thing when I saw the Statue of Liberty on the VHS version a few years ago,
but I figured they did it because the ending is so well-known (almost like a
cliche) that most people will not have the surprised ruined for them. The
thing that bugs me about the packaging is the particular apes that the
feature on the covers. I may be nit-picking, but their choices make little
sense. We all know that Roddy McDowell is the actor most identified with the
series, but in the first film I think that Dr. Zaius was the main ape and
therefore should have been featured on that cover instead of Cornelius. In
BENEATH it's almost as if the apes take a back seat to Brent, the mutants and
everything else that's going on, but the one that stands out is Ursus because
of his attitude and the cool costume with the helmet. That would be my
choice, not Cornelius (heck, McDowell wasn't even in that film). They got it
right for ESCAPE to feature Zira. CONQUEST is definately Caesar's film, so
that's where I would put McDowell, not some generic gorilla. The orangutan
featured on the BATTLE cover is OK, I guess. I could care less about BATTLE,
but if I was choosing I probably would have put Aldo on the cover of that
one. (How was that for a long-winded response? Man do I feel like a geek for
actually sitting around thinking of this stuff). Oh, why don't you post your
custom DVD covers? I would love to check them out.

Of course they always say guests are subject to change. I walked into a
Starcon I drove by once, and slipped in to check it out. Everyone was there
to see Jerri Ryan. There was a cut out standee with a note from her on it
apologizing to all the fans for having to be somewhere else that weekend.
Might have been nice to see her, especially in that kickin' body stocking of
a costume of hers. But I was there to look for Apes stuff. Not much there.
But I did find a nice T-shirt of the Hunter Heston kiss.

    Good analogy Rory!
Why don't they put out Soylent Green out with "Soylent Green is made out of

Yeah, does anyone remember the original poster? The one with Zaius and the

You know years ago I had to write them a letter asking them to stop calling
PLANET OF THE APES "kitsch."   They always refer to it as that "kitsch 60's
classic."  I don't think they even knew what kitsch meant.  Anyway, it really
pissed me off, so I wrote them, they published the letter, and then it became
    that "much beloved 60's classic."

The Covers: I'm glad Roddy loomed large on the cover for "Planet" because
they also gave him above the title credit on the image. He deserves it,
though I guess for the series as a whole, not the first movie. The other
covers are fine except the rep apes seem switched on "Beneath" and
"Conquest" ( Caesar is on the "Beneath" cover and a gorilla in "Beneath"
garb is on "Conquest"). The Statue of Liberty seems to be the biggest
complaint from everyone but now I have Rory's cover.

Toys: Too bad McFarlane (an avowed "Apes" fan as well as a top maker of
Burton figure - - "Sleepy Hollow", Edward S.) didn't get the license. The
new toys I've seen are a mixed bag. So far I have 6 Medicom figures - Zira,
Caesar with the chain, Nova, Ursus and 2 different Soldier Apes (one of
which I opened). I'm sticking to stuff that hasn't come out before, obscure
characters like Milo and Lucius, the "Conquest" figures and definitely the
Lawgiver. But I had to get Zira and Ursus because they're just awesome (and
Nova!). Prices will surely rise with the movie so get 'em now.

If I remember correctly, Doug Moench did the adaptations of all five
movies, and wrote most (if not all) of the original stories in the POTA
magazine. He worked from the shooting scripts, so a lot of the scenes
we've heard about (the Earth being destroyed at the beginning of ESCAPE,
the gorilla being hunted at the beginning of CONQUEST, Alpha Omega bomb
from BATTLE) were all included. If you can get a set, they're definitely
worth reading. And of all people Terry, I have to believe YOU can track
    them down. :-)

    Alex --

You're not tryine to tell me with the line "I'll let the Box Office numbers
do the debating for me" that if the movie makes a lot of movie, therefore it
must be good -- the old popularity equals quality thing?  If that were true
"Porky's" would be equal to "Citizen Kane."

Another issue too debate - I may endup reading the script to Citizen Kane and Porky's too.
    No thanks Rory.

Actually I sort of recall that there may have been an orange one

but the ones I have available are

    light green

    dark green

    pink

the first Alien Nation comic also had this wraparound stye of cover and mentioned planet of the apes on each one of the alien nation comics  to cross promote the titles.

POTA #1 also had a 2nd and 3rd printing without the wraparound cover and then there was a limited edition version with a completely different cover.

So there is definitely 6 versions and an orange cover would make a potential 7th version!

I have the 6 known versions!

I have a question...remember when Adventure's first issue came out? They had those color wraparounds that took up all of the back and half of the front cover? I've seen them in pink and green but I heard there was also an orange one but Terry says there wasn't. Anyone seen 3 different colors? - - Jeff K.

    Hi everyone,

especially when it comes to POTA posts. I plan on catching up sometime, but
I've been saying that for months. Anyways, my name's Ross, I live in the
Chicagoland Area. I'm probably one of the older memebers on the lists, all
though I really don't post much like I used, I just don't have as much time
as I would like. Probably since Chris, BlakerG, left, I'm the youngest on
the list, and Chris left a pretty long time ago. But, like most of us, I'm
a HUGE Pota fanatic, I get ripped on for it by my friends and family
constantly, and I didn't even get to see the apes on the big screen, nor the
premeiers of the TV series, damn! Now a fan of the reimagination, I'll go
and see it and try to keep an open mind, but I still feel it's a mistake and
that it'll flop. I hope I'm wrong. Well, I've rambled enough. Farewell

TRAILER: Well, I missed taping the trailer off TV. I was going to tape
"Access Hollywood" at noon but the Seattle earthquake pre-empted it (can't
complain, that's more important; hope nobody in the group was effected). But
I saw it on the official site, as well as the mini-documentary and the
stills. Overall, it reminds me more of "Mad Max" than "Apes". I was amazed
how good the Orange Army looked. The trailer told us what we already know:
Burton is a master visualist. So far he's missing the sense of the unknown
that was integrall to the original. Seems too prepackaged (I guess
inevitable). The apes look OK, not spectacular. I liked the shots of Estella
Warren the best, she conveyed alot of character. But what the hell did
Wahlberg say at the end? I don't know, as with all this stuff I'm still on
the fence. Is it "Hooray!" or "Mayday!"?

    - - - - Jeff Krueger

    P.S. : Check out Clarke Duncan's comments on movieheadlines.net . Apparently
they'll have an actual chimp (in space suit) tagging along.

Apologies for the delayed response to this post. I've been sick w/ the flu for the last few days.
With regards to foreign comics, I have a few representations from various countries in my collection which include Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Finland, France, U.K and of coarse Australia. Most of these are direct reprints of the Marvel magazines. Some include articles, again mostly reprints of the U.S stories.
I have only one comic which features a newly created story line based on the TV series characters. It is from Argentina.
It's dated Jan '77 and is a 36 page black and white comic. The graphics are kind of crummy but it's an interesting example all the same.
      See attached scan.

       Hi Gang,

Are our webgroup days numbered?  Read on, puke, then write a letter to your Congressperson!!!

      Brian

      VOTE NO ON Bill 602P!!!!

I guess the warnings were true. Federal Bill
602P 5-cents per E-mail Sent. It figures! No
more free E-mail! We knew this was coming! Bill
602P will permit the Federal Government to charge
       a 5-cent charge on every delivered E-mail.

Please read the following carefully if you intend
to stay online, and continue using E-mail.
The last few months have revealed an alarming
trend in the Government of the United States
attempting to quietly push through legislation
that will affect our use of the Internet.

Under proposed legislation, the US Postal Service
will be attempting to bill E-mail users out of
"alternative postage fees." Bill 602P will
permit the Federal Government to charge a 5-cent
surcharge on every E-mail delivered, by billing
Internet Service Providers at source. The
consumer would then be billed in turn by the ISP.

Washington, DC lawyer Richard Stepp is working
without pay to prevent this legislation from
becoming law. The US Postal Service is claiming
lost revenue, due to the proliferation of E-mail,
is costing nearly $230,000,000 in revenue per year.
You may have noticed their recent ad campaign:
"There is nothing like a letter."

Since the average person received about 10 pieces
of E-mail per day in 1998, the cost of the
typical individual would be an additional 50
       cents a day-or over $180 per year-above and
beyond their regular Internet costs. Note that
this would be money paid directly to the US
Postal Service for a service they do not even
provide. The whole point of the Internet is
democracy and noninterference. You are already
paying an exorbitant price for snail mail because
of bureaucratic efficiency. It currently takes
up to 6 days for a letter to be delivered from
coast to coast. If the US Postal Service is
allowed to tinker with E-mail, it will mark the
end of the "free" Internet in the United States.
Our congressional representative, Tony Schnell ?
has even suggested a "$20-$40 per month surcharge
on all Internet service" above and beyond the
governments proposed E-mail charges Note that
most of the major newspapers have ignored the
story-the only exception being the Washingtonian
which called the idea of E-mail surcharge "a
useful concept who's time has come"
      (March 6th, 1999 Editorial).

Do not sit by and watch your freedom erode away!
Send this E-mail to EVERYONE on your list, and
tell all your friends and relatives write their
congressional representative and say "NO" to Bill
602P. It will only take a few moments of your
time and could very well be instrumental in
killing a bill we do not want.

       Please forward!

      Hi Michael,
Apologies for the delayed response to this post.
      Best,
      KEN

So who has now seen the teaser?

I thought it was great - but I am biased and very easy to please when it
      comes to POTA.

I loved the scarecrows - is it just me or do the scarecrows look very
      "Nightmare Before Christmas"?

I really like the make-up. The gorillas look great and the glimpse of the
chimp was pretty good (and better than the test shots) too!

I am thinking this movie will be more of a fast paced (in Terminator 2
style) entertainment flick than intellectual stimulation. This is not
necessarily a bad thing either (T2 was incredibly entertaining even with the
      limited plot).

      .htmlHey Matt,

I'd love to get my hands on this "Planet of the Men" script, but Boulle wrote
it in French, and I don't know if it's been translated and put in
circulation.  All I know about it is what I've read.  I guy named Eric Greene
wrote a book a few years ago called "Planet of the Apes as American Myth" and
in it he said this about Boulle's script:

"Boulle's screenplay was entitled 'Planet of the Men' and was completed in
July of 1968, five months after the release of the first film.  The script
begins with Taylor and Nova starting a colony of humans.  Taylor eventually
teaches them to talk, to protect themselves against the apes, and to raid ape
      outposts for food.

The scene shifts to the apes' city, 12 years after the close of PLANET, where
Cornelius, having served a prison sentence for heresy because of his theories
of apes evolving from human beings, runs for political office.  He is
supported by a small group of radical chimpanzees.  Competing with Zaius for
the post of minister of science, Cornelius presses the apes to 'without
prejudice, stretch out [their] hands to the humans and with them to better
their miserable condition.  It would be a task worthy of apes.'  In effect,
      he proclaims an ape-man's burden.

In contrast, Zaius warns of 'a human tide which comes to submerge us and
which would be the end of all civilization on this planet.'  His language
echoes that of Western proponents of scientistic racisim and eugenics in the
early twentieth century like T. L. Stoddard, who warned of a 'rising tide of
color against white world supremacy.'  Playing on the racial fears of the ape
population, Zaius easily wins reelection (just as Stoddard and his allies in
the United States won legislation restricting the imigration of non-Nordics
into the United States).  Along with gorilla Field Marshall Urus, Zaius plans
to launch a war of extermination against the humans.  Zira, Cornelius, and
Lucius go to Taylor's camp to warn him.

Taylor's son Sirius hates all apes, and when the attack comes he disobeys
Taylor's orders to take prisoners.  He offers the apes no quarter and exhorts
the human troops he leads to kill all the apes.  Sirius and his troops
slaughter the ape army and then set out to conquer the ape capital and wipe
their 'wicked' city 'from the face of the planet' because 'only fire can
purify this foul place.'  Taylor, dismayed that he helped bring about a
reassertion of humanity's thirst for destruction, is killed by the other
humans while he is trying to protect Cornelius and Zira.  As the apes go
insane and revert to their primitive animal state, Zira and Cornelius kill
themselves in order to die with dignity.  In the final scene, Zaius, who has
lost his advanced intelligence and been reduced to a circus ape, is given a
lump of sugar and dumbly applauds himself after struggling to stammer
      'Z...Zaious' for the human audience.

Boulle had opposed the idea, introduced in Serling's PLANET script, that war
had destroyed humanity and thought the cause of ape ascendancy should have
      remained biological.

Despite Boulle's effort's, the rebuilding of humanity was apparently not a
story APJAC productions was interested in telling:  Jacobs rejected the
script, finding it 'wasn't cinematic.'  Interestingly, despite both the
series' continued moving away from Boulle's themes and Jacob's assessment of
the quality of the script, 'Planet of the Men' prefigured much of what was to
come in the later 'Apes' films,..."

Like I said, I'd love to get a hold of this script.  If anyone in the group
can say how to get a copy, please speak!

      Thanks for the synopsis Rory!

No offense to all of the BENEATH fans here, but that sounds like a better
movie than the eventual sequel. There was certainly more character
development in Boulle's idea. I like the idea of Cornelius being imprisioned
and then running against Zauis to get the truth out!

I have been thinking about getting Eric Greene's book. Is it worth it?

It is quite a fascinating read if you can get over the often, too

Although Jacobs rejected it, the seeds of a lot of situations from
Beneath can easily be found. (peace protests, a coming war, humans
living in the forbidden zone etc) It even includes the line (spoken
by a human) "The only good Ape... Is a dead ape."

their miserable condition.

Outside of PotA, they're my two favourite films.

I have to say though, I think Rory made the point well enough - we all
understood what he was saying without one example, never mind three.

No orange that I know of. I checked out the last edition of the UK guide and
there are three listed, but they're yellow, green and pink, which backs up
what Terry was saying I guess.

Still on the subject of comics - can anyone who owns the Beneath adaptation
by Gold Key scan a panel or two and send it in? I've never seen any
interiors of this one in my life.

      Hi Ken,
Hope you are recovering well - I have had a flu for about 2 weeks (and here
      comes winter time....)!
Yes, that is the comic I recall you showing me.
Terry, were you aware of this one? Do you have any more of the Argentinian
      comics for sale?

      Hi Michael,
Apologies for the delayed response to this post. I've been sick w/ the
flu for the last few days.
With regards to foreign comics, I have a few representations from
various countries in my collection which include Mexico, Spain, Portugal,
Finland, France, U.K and of coarse Australia. Most of these are direct
reprints of the Marvel magazines. Some include articles, again mostly
      reprints of the U.S stories.
I have only one comic which features a newly created story line based on
the TV series characters. It is from Argentina.
It's dated Jan '77 and is a 36 page black and white comic. The graphics
are kind of crummy but it's an interesting example all the same.
      See attached scan.
      Best,
      KEN

For all your currency conversion needs try:

      http://www.xe.com/ucc/

For your information, the average price to an Aussie for a Medicom figure is
      $66.39 Australian ($35 U.S). 19 pounds is only $52.44 Aussie. Gee, what a
bargain, those crazy poms are practically giving them away!
Needless to say the poor Aussie dollar is indeed that...poor.
      Best,
