I think if he came out of the blue and accused you of the same you would defend yourself, as I did.
The way he defends himself is to slander you, and then delete your responses, and then if you try to respond on a different group he kicks you off his group. So if you want to defend yourself like he does, that's how to do it. Just thought you'd like to know the process.

LIKE I SAID...LET'S HAVE FUN
AND QUIT ALL THIS NONSENSE.
You'll never get Mike to listen by speaking
with the voice of reason. That just pisses him
off and he thinks you're trying to tell him what to do.
Like I said, his goal has been accomplished. He
only hangs around here because he's a sore
winner. He still thinks his petty little war was a just
cause. So he hangs out here to justify it. To whom,
I'm not sure. Neither side is going to convince the
other. And he won't drop it. Since he's being so
childish why not suggest a contest of silence.
The first one to bring up old arguments, loses.

Well, I heard over the DG, er, I mean,
there's talk of an "Apes 2" and Fox may be wanting to hear ideas from the fans
so they get it right. Linda Harrison innuendoed about it on her site ( www.lindaharrison.com ). So, what do
people want in a sequel, or is it too late to be saved. I say pick up with Marky
Mark on that planet and stay there. New characters, a better story (not
necessarily set in a city, there's other places on that planet. Marky can be the
bridge with the other film, otherwise start from scratch and make it topical. No

Yeah I heard that too. Basically they can't even buy a decent idea, so they'd like to steal some. But I'm feeling charitable, so if they want a free idea I suggest they take a second look at the material they've already purchased the rights to -- namely the book. With Leo back on Earth, and the apes finally in a modern setting as was originally intended they may as well do a re-imagining of the book. With the exception of a couple few crowd scenes they'd only need a hand full of actors in makeup's and any given time -- a half a dozen or so at most. And for the occasional crowd scene get a dozen or two #1s in front of the camera. Baker now has a whole stock pile of #2 and # 3 masks to fill in the background left over from the first film. I'd say the only stumbling block is that Marky said he'd only do it if Burton will, and I don't think anyone wants that, not even Burton. In that case pull a Heston and
kill him off in the first scene. After, of course, introductions are made to the Brent character (or whatever you want to call him). He could be one of the crew that was sent to rescue him when he after Pareclese, and got turned around in the storm. Wait a minute! Why should I do all the work? Sorry Rory, this is not true. If you think it is, you are wrong and you
should go back and do some counting.
Now you ignore what I just said, OK?

You have nothing to lose.
At worst you need to find another fake name for a yahoo or hotmail account.
I know you are lying when you say you are a regular poster on the POTADG.
Can I be any clearer?

there), I think it is time to start again and abandon the whole concept of
POTA2001 because it did not work.
I would rather see "Die Hard 4" with ape masks than anything more from that
POTA 2001 concept.
I would be fascinated to hear the opinions of others.

Never fear though. I just started POTA_DG_DG.

ACTOR GORDON JUMP DIES AT 71
By LYNN ELBER, AP
LOS ANGELES (Sept. 22) - Gordon Jump, who played a befuddled radio station manager on the sitcom "WKRP in Cincinnati" and made his mark in commercials as the lonely Maytag repairman, died Monday. He was 71.

AP file
Jump suffered from pulmonary fibrosis, said his cousin, Katherine Jump Wagner. The illness causes scarring of the air sacs of the lungs, leading to heart or respiratory failure.
Wagner, of Arcanum, Ohio, said she learned of her cousin's death from her father, also named Gordon Jump. Her cousin was under hospice care at his home southeast of Los Angeles, she said.
Jump played Arthur Carlson in "WKRP in Cincinnati," which aired on CBS from 1978-82 and featured Gary Sandy, Loni Anderson, Tim Reid, Howard Hesseman and Richard Sanders as the ragtag station's crew.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, Jump began his career working at radio and TV stations in the Midwest. He worked behind the microphone and the camera, including jobs as a producer for Kansas and Ohio stations.
Jump portrayed the Maytag repairman "Ol' Lonely," a well-recognized advertising symbol, from 1989 until he retired from the role in July and another actor took over.
"Gordon was an incredibly talented actor and a remarkable human being," said Ralph Hake, chairman and chief executive officer of Maytag Corp.
Jump came to appreciate the attention he got for the ad campaign and the steady work it provided, Wagner said. But his heart was elsewhere professionally.

AP
Gordon Jump as the Maytag repairman
"What he loved more than anything was doing theater. He was a marvelous actor," she said, recalling a visit to Florida to watch him perform in "Norman, Is That You?"
Jump began his Hollywood career after moving to Los Angeles in 1963, appearing on series including "Daniel Boone," "Get Smart" and "The Partridge Family."
His dramatic roles included a part in the TV movie "Ruby and Oswald," about the assassination of President Kennedy, and "Conquest of the Planet of the Apes."
Jump is survived by his wife, four daughters and a son, Maytag said in a statement. He also had a brother, Wagner said.

.htmlJust for gits and shiggles, I decided to peruse this site's Message
Board archives, to find my very first posting. The one below isn't it
(it's my 2nd one -- my 1st one was about the CONQUEST script, a
problem Jeff resolved recently [thanks again, Jeff!]); however, the
post below was basically my "I'm new here" introduction: Message
Number 12906.
Now pay attention, Mike.
You'll notice, if you care to read it, that in this particular post,
I myself referenced the website run by Mr. "Ansanaut". I even mention
that he and I didn't agree all that much regarding our
respective 'theories' about the POTA saga's details. Of course,
there's no mention whatsoever about me having been banned from his
site (I hadn't been). I had posted on his site (primarily about
my "unflubbing" scenario), and referenced it in its relation to my
first public contribution to POTAdom: an article that I wrote
for "APESFAN" #2 called "A Chronology of the Planet of the Apes".
For the record, it was in that issue where my "mothership" theory was
first described (some of the details changed, slightly, since then --
I've modified it a bit here & there occasionally -- but it's
essentially the same).
Mike's been asking "who else" out there thinks favorably of
my 'mothership' theory, trying to imply that NOBODY but me thinks
well of it. Now, I'm not claiming that either Joe Lozowsky or George
Reis endorses it, but they -- the editors of "APESFAN" who asked for
submissions for its 2nd issue and accepted my 4-page contribution --
indicated that they liked it. One of 'em (I think it was Mr. Reis),
with whom I chatted on the phone just prior to its being published,
told me my article was "great". If either he or Mr. Lozowsky thought
it to be "the laughing stock of POTA" (as Mike likes to characterize
it), then why the f*** would they have included it in their fanzine?
Counting the front & back covers, it was a 60-page "special edition",
with all sorts of great articles & photos in it, and I don't doubt
that they COULD have found 4 pages worth of OTHER content to "fill it
out". They COULD have nicely rejected my contribution (if they did
think of it disparagingly), in favor of some other POTA-related
stuff... but they evidently liked my article enough to publish it "as
is": no editing involved whatsoever.
Also, in addition to hosting/moderating a Yahoo! Groups site called
FRIENDS & FUGITIVES, Mez Downes has a website (of the same name) of
her own devoted to the TV show -- and on her site she cites
my "APESFAN" article (since my article dealt not only with Taylor's
ship(s) but also with Virdon's ship and the "time warp" it
experienced); I'm not saying that Mez endorses my 'mothership' (etc)
theory, but she doesn't disparage it, either. In fact, why even so
much as MENTION it there unless she thought it worthy of mention?
Evidently, my "unflubbing" scenario is not the "laughing stock" that
Mike would have everyone out there think it to be. "Ansanaut" might
not dig it -- but, then again, he has his own little 'theory' which
attempts to explain the POTA details, and it's only natural that he
would prefer his own ideas to anybody else's.
And, Mike, you did NOT say that I merely belonged to another 'group'
prior to joining this one; you specifically stated that I had been
BANNED from it (and that I had been "asked to leave" before that).
And THAT was the "slanderous m*****f***ing lie" I was talking about.
I never said that I hadn't belonged to other 'groups' prior to
joining this one, though Ansanaut's site's message board WAS the only
thing on the Internet POTA-related that I had ever participated in
before I found this group. I DID say that I had never been BANNED
from any group, an allegation that you, Mike, have made repeatedly.
False allegations. Lies. No two ways about it. Try to 'finesse' it
all you want, Mike, but it's a fact that your BS about me is
documented -- here, on this site, the site neither you nor James
could censor to your hearts' content.
Without further ado, below is the post (my 2nd on this site) in
question:
--- In pota@yahoogroups.com, patrickmichaeltilton@y... wrote:

who have APESFAN #2, I'm the guy who wrote an article for it
entitled "A Chronology of the POTA". For those of you who are
interested, I posted a number of times on a POTA/"ANSA" website (type
in "ANSA", "Hasslein" and "Icarus" on a Lycos search engine, and
you'll find it), doing my best to explain my scenario for "un-
flubbing the flubs" of POTA chronology (the guy who runs that website
and I, well, we vehemently disagree, to put it mildly).
> I've been working on a POTA novel project for a number of years
(being a POTA fan from way back); I wanted to tell one humongous
story that uses all the filmed POTA movies & TV episodes as "canon",
basically novelizing PLANET and its 4 movie sequels as well as all 14
TV episodes (of course, this involves RE-adaptation: the existing
novelizations take liberties with their sources, and what appears on
screen is often not what we read in Avallone's BENEATH book, etc.).
The major hurdle for this project of mine was to find a way to
explain how Taylor could see his EARTH-TIME clock read 11-25-3978
after landing--yet Brent (and the "Ape-onauts") see it reading the
year 3955.
> The bitter truth is that Paul Dehn flubbed. However... Taking the
chronological info from the TV series, I noticed that Virdon's ship's
EARTH-TIME clock clicks ahead from 08-19-1980 (19 August 1980) to 07-
14-3085 (14 July 3085) in the opening credit sequence... and yet the
day after their landing (and also more than a week later, at the
episode's end) Virdon & Burke see the EARTH-TIME clock frozen on the
date 03-21-3085 (21 March 3085), which is 115 days EARLIER than the
date given for the Time Warp from Present-to-Future.
> Since this Time Warp occurs when they approach Alpha Centauri, that
means that they also managed to be zipped along back to Earth 4.34
LightYears (after Jones activates the "Emergency Homing Device" that
Virdon tells Burke he'd ordered him to do).
> By a happy coincidence, the ratio of "retro-temporal" time Virdon's
ship experiences (115 "retro-days") to Distance in LightYears
traveled (4.34) just so happens to match what Taylor's ship
experiences: Taylor tells Landon & Dodge that they were (as far as he
knew & believed) "320 LightYears from Earth on an unnamed planet in
orbit around a star in the constellation of Orion". Divide 320 by
4.34 and then multiply by 115 and you get 8479.26 "retro-days".
Divide 8479.26 by 365.2422 and you get 23.215 "retro-years". Since
noon of 25 November 3978 (a 365-day year) is exactly 9/10ths through
the year, subtract 23.215 from 3978.90 and you get 3955.685! In other
words, if the same sort of thing that happens to Virdon's ship
(zipping "x" number of LightYears in "y" number of "retro-temporal
days") also happens to Taylor's ship, then the actual EARTH-TIME date
that Taylor arrives is about the 251st day of 3955. Assuming, of
course, that Taylor's ship's EARTH-TIME clock fails to register
the "back-thru-time" jump it nonetheless experiences.
> Anyway, when I happened to discover that convenient coincidence, I
proceeded to weave a scenario around it, and I'm using it in my on-
going magnum opus (I'm calling it "DESTINY OF THE PLANET OF THE
APES"). As I've said, the guy running the website mentioned above (he
calls himself "Ansanaut") disagrees with my scenario. Quite frankly,
he believes things about the APES series that are patently ridiculous
(he thinks that the stars Taylor sees out the front window of his
ship in PLANET's opening scene aren't stars at all; he also thinks
that Taylor's mission was to Alpha Centauri--which isn't referenced
anywhere in the film, of course!).
> Anyhow, I've been waiting 27 friggin' years for the TV show to be
released UN-CUT, and this up-coming DVD release is none too soon. I
want my novel to have all the details that were presented on screen,
and whatever details exist that are (or seem to be) flubs... well,
it's my modus operandi to "un-flub" them! It's going to be a long
book, and it'll take a long time for me to finish it, and there's no
guarantee I'll be given the rights to publish it... but if I do get
it published, I hope all you other POTA fans out there will like it.
> Mr. "Ansanaut" might not like it (I don't think he particularly
likes ME!), but I'm not writing it for him. I'm writing it for me.
And, no, I'm not going to try to reconcile Burton's "re-imagining"
and the cartoon show "RETURN..." to the original live-action stuff. I
don't know about you, but the "new" movie was about as good (compared
to the original) as Ralph Fiennes' "The Avengers" was (compared to
the original series)...! Ecch! <.html

I don't think the Mothership theory is a laughing stock. But it's like any theory like that. Just because it fits doesn't make it so. I could come up with a theory the they took strands of DNA from Cornelius and altered them so they would have bigger and smarter apes, but altered it so they wouldn't be smart enough to talk and that's how they went from looking like apes, or rather Gilligan's Island apes, to looking like POTA Apes. It fits, but that doesn't mean anything. And I doubt that the writer or director even gave the backstory that much thought. I'm not saying your theory can't work. I'm just saying the only one who ever thought of that, is you. And you're probably thinking about it way too much.

I'm not going to moderate it.
We can argue and still keep it fun.
I think the object should be to get
yourself kicked off. You'll be immediately
let back on though. Maybe we can
vote on who should be kick off

I'll even kick myself off if that's the vote.

theory" in "Apesfan" and thought it was a good idea, a way to explain some
inconsistencies. I thought it was something interesting to run with, but no
one has to accept it as canon.
When I heard more about it in the group, some of it seemed far fetched,
other parts were good. I think T is right that if you look at this stuff TOO
closely it's doomed to failure. You have to look at it just closely enough
and leave it. Chronologies are good, but only to a certain point. The
chronology I did for "Ape Chronicles" is very general, and lets the reader
fill in the blanks. But the "mothership theory" is not a war crime.
I remember Michael took particular offense at Australia being renamed New
America and maybe that's where his particular grudge comes from. I still
don't see why people get riled when Patrick does long posts. There's good
information in them, and if they bother someone, just don't read them.
That's my take on this. - - - Jeff

Yes the greatest grudge match of all got started way back when Patrick renamed
Michael's country New America. I thought renaming Michael's city "Washington
D.C" (because Canberra starts with a C) was worse but I don't think Michael

I'd forgotton about that one myself.
I do remember Rory and Alex fighting over POTA2K1 though.
I could see both sides of that one. Nice to have attention back
on Apes, too bad the film wasn't better though.

I guess its a tie between Rory for his knowledge about details and Jeff for
his connections.
Hmmm...I don't know about that. I think you'd have to include whats-his-name . . . billygoatapemonkeyboy something or other. That guy in Little Italy. If you've ever bid on a prime piece of POTA memorabilia and got sniped by him then you know that guy has bottomless pockets where POTA is concerned.

Yeah, this whole flamming thing reminds me of story about these three
guys walking in the desert after their ship crashes on this alien world.
For days they kept on climbing each other backs, spatting terrible
belittling remarks to each other. Sound familiar??? Hey has anyone
heard or read a POTA parody about the Taylor and Landon agruing over
something about a Christmas tree? How did that end --- I wonder?

Never heard that one. It certainly has gone quite today. I guess creating a place where the arguing is acceptable has taken all the fun out of it for certain members.

Ouch! That must have hurt LordT --- the knife thing I mean. I wouldn't
know what I have done if it were me, though I must admit I've was in
plenty of fights at school during my junior years, (I was a really going
the wrong way at that time.) throwing some good punches that hurt my
fist more than it did the other person. I just react naturally when
someone tries to hurt me I guess.
That's so sad about Kim. If it were me, I would have gone and asked her
if I could join her. I guess you could call me inconsiderate but hey, I
usually do this with anyone, gaining friendships. I'm pretty open with
people. Anyway, I would have approached Kim and probably would have
sounded like idiot. (I'm good at that too). Maybe I could have made her
laugh.

You think that hurt? It was nothing compared to the tube going down my throat via my nostril. And that was nothing compared to the other tube. I won't even mention where that went. And when the doctor put her finger in the hole to make sure it didn't penetrate my sternum, that was no picnic either. I didn't even feel the knife. That was just like getting punched. I sure felt it the next day though. But what was really bad was the fact that when wounds heal, they itch! It was all I could do not to scratch the stitches right off!
Here's another one for the Kim Coincidence List. It happened on November the 13th. The day after her birthday.

Yeah, but you're a woman. Women are always more open with each other. And I'd been talking to her all week, and didn't want to make a pest of myself. I kept going through the line at her table. I'd have her sign a few things and get back in line. I'd do that three and four times a session. So though she may have gotten bored with me, there are only a few choice items in my collection that are unsigned. I left them behind just in case something happened on the road. Then at least I'd have some of my collection would be safe at home. And I always thought someday I'd visit her in New York and get the rest of them signed as well. No reason to go to New York now. Just another reminder that life is fleeting. Don't take anything or anyone for granted.

.htmlThanks for the kind words, Jeff. Your "take" on the whole matter sure
seems sensible to me. It's like TV or the radio: if you don't like
what you're seein' or hearin', just change the damn channel or turn
it off and read a book, fer cryin' out loud.
But, yeah, Mike's animosity really came out when he found out that
(gasp! horrors!) my scenario called for the planet's crust to "shift"
around over the mantle, sending Australia ("Southland" in Latin) up
towards the Equator... where surviving American scientists (with a
Jeffersonian political bent) decide to salvage Civilization -- and
their particular ideology of idealistic Americanism -- and re-shape
that geologically altered island/continent into a utopian "New
America". And my suggestion that its capitol city would be re-named
WASHINGTON, District of Canberra, really pissed him off.
My impetus for doing this, predominantly, was to "unflub" a detail
from the TV show's pilot episode, where Virdon & Burke see a picture
of a futuristic city referred to as "NEW YORK CITY: 2503". The
architecture of the ruined cities of San Francisco and Oakland (seen
in "The Trap" and "The Legacy") don't look all that futuristic to me;
and if one is to try to reconcile the TV show with the movies, one
should have to deal with the chronology of the Nuke War (between
CONQUEST and BATTLE), which wiped out the "true" New York City for
good. If NYC is trashed in the late 20th/early 21st Century, then the
ONLY way I can see there being a futuristic NYC existing in the early
part of the 26th Century is if it is NOT the same one & in the same
place as the real, destroyed one, and instead exists SOMEWHERE ELSE.
And why not on once-Australia? Australia's location on the globe is
nearly antipodal to the "real" USA. In the POTA universe, the Nuke
War happens -- in part -- because the USA had "lost its way", and
many (most?) of the nukes which wiped out human civilization had to
have come from the USA's arsenal. The totalitarian society we see in
CONQUEST ultimately took the wrongest path there is, and "they blew
it up".
The idealistic scientist-survivors -- who KNEW the End was coming
(the holographic projection of their spokesman, in "The Legacy") --
wanted (in my scenario) to reclaim Americanism; they didn't have the
power -- the government (and its military) was NOT in their control --
to steer the "Old America" where it should've gone... and the Nuke
War was the result. In the aftermath of the Nuke War, they wanted to
create an America that stood by the ideals of its Founding (Life,
Liberty, Pursuit of Happiness, etc), but they couldn't do so on the
North American continent (due to the radiation). So... they land on
Australia, which is no longer strictly in the southern hemisphere,
and hence needed re-naming.
Australia's north-eastern province, Queensland, has a landform
called "Cape York Peninsula" -- and it is there where my "New
American" scientist dudes establish their main city, named (for
obvious reasons) "New YORK City". "Cape York" --> "New York". Mike
probably still hates the idea, but I think it's kinda clever.
Geographically, North America and Australia are nearly exactly
antipodal, just as the "Holy" Land was antipodal to the mountain
island of Purgatory, in Dante's "Divine Comedy". The purpose of Mt.
Purgatory, in Dante's theology, was for humanity to shed its evil
traits ("purging" them out of our souls) in order to be "clean"
enough to be worthy of ascending into Heaven.
In my POTA project, one of the central themes involves the duties of
a society -- of ANY society -- which seeks to perpetuate itself
indefinitely, having to make itself "worthy" of existing outside its
own "nest", its home planet. In "THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL", the
Klaatu character (with the Christ-like moniker "Mr. Carpenter") gives
Humanity a warning from "heaven" (i.e. "outer space") that the
destructive tendencies of Man will not be tolerated out there. So, if
we want to be accepted, rather than quarantined on Earth, we have to
make ourselves "worthy" of being out there.
Taylor wonders, "I can't help but think that somewhere in the
Universe there has to be something better than Man... HAS to be!"
Perhaps the space-faring civilizations that prosper in the Galaxy do
so because they, too, had to struggle with their savage past, and
found a way to transcend that civilizational 'infancy'. Perhaps some,
like the Krell from "FORBIDDEN PLANET" were destroyed by some remnant
of their savage ancestry. But the flourishing civilizations all
underwent some sort of voluntary "self-improvement" procedure, making
them better than whatever they had been in their Past.
At any rate, my "New America" civilization will represent a conscious
attempt by idealists to prepare Humanity for a "role at the table"
with the other interstellar civilizations dwelling in our Galaxy. The
raison d'etre of their "New American" society is to be a neo-Dantean
PURGATORY of sorts, to prepare Humanity for a transhumanizing
existence -- the ONLY way Humanity will be allowed to live beyond the
confines of our Solar System. And it'll be astronauts from just such
a futuristic "New American" society who will leave Earth in 2500 A.D.
(a 'nod' to Boulle's novel) and return in the year 3075 or so... only
to find that during their absence, the Simian/Human peace that had
been in place in Old America had disappeared... that some wicked
force had caused one side (the Apes) to wage Ape Supremacist anti-
human war, reducing Humanity to the status of a slave. These
astronauts will, of course, be the ones whom Urko kills -- including
the one Zaius had had put to death, trying to "sneak" into Central
City.
The voyages of Taylor and the other ANSA astronauts represent, in a
way, a "jumping-the-gun" incursion of too-imperfect Humanity into
the "heavenly" arena of Outer Space. The "America" which sent these
astronauts out was not as advanced ideologically as it needed to be,
as it can one day become IF it takes its founding principles as
seriously as it should. Case-in-point: the commander of the 'Orion'
mission -- Taylor -- is somebody who agonizes over Humanity's
faults... yet is himself the worst exemplar of it. After all, it is
he who detonates a world-destroying "Doomsday Bomb". The only 'kind'
of Humanity which truly mature alien societies will ever allow to
dwell among the stars will have transformed itself in such a way that
Taylor's action -- destroying an entire planet -- is IMPOSSIBLE.
Patrick
P.S. Oh, incidentally, I just finished reading the latest of Clive
Cussler's 'Dirk Pitt' adventure novels, "ATLANTIS FOUND". It's a fun
read. And... his plot revolves around a eugenically-bred family of
German descent (their grandad was a Nazi who fled to Argentina to
escape War Crime tribunals) who want to cause a world-wide
catastrophe which they'll survive (in high-tech "Noah's Ark"-like
ships). The catastrophe they want to trigger artificially will
recreate the effects of a comet impact from 9000 years ago, which had
wiped out the sea-faring "Amenes" civilization (i.e. Atlantis)...
... and, in Cussler's novel, it was an "Earth Crust Displacement"
event -- a POLE SHIFT! -- that had been triggered by the comet
strike. The bad guys in Cussler's novel scheme to duplicate those
effects, artificially.
So, I'm not the only one out there who thinks that the "pole shift"
theory is viable -- at least for the purposes of a novel! So... take
THAT all ye scoffers! And THAT!
By the way, not to spoil the book or anything... but Dirk Pitt (and
his pal Giordino) saves the day, of course. Cussler even has a role
in his plot for HIMSELF, heading a salvage operation in the Antarctic
for Admiral Byrd's long-forgotten "RV". Dirk & Giordino requisition
the vehicle, riding across the Ross Ice Shelf from "Little America"
to the HQ of the bad guys, whose mercenary army is duking it out with
a strike team of Americans. Dirk & Giordino arrive in the proverbial
nick-of-time, etc etc.
Cool book. Good read.

have had beans for dinner and the got wind of it. I know I said I
wasn't going to do this anymore. I'm just trying to stir up some
interest in POTA_DG_DG. I thought it was a really good idea for
taking the flames to a different forum. Speaking of flames, no open
flames near Whitty, not after all those beans.
*** I like the idea of a "POTA_DG_DG", but I'm afraid it really
wouldn't fly. We all know that Mike would still feel the need to
litter OUR message board with his garbage. He can't do it at the DG
(which, according to James, was meant to be a place for "mature POTA
fans" to post). Can you believe all the "mature" crap he's been
spewing over here? Calling me a "virgin" at one point, then "sperm-
breath" the next? If THAT is James' idea of a "mature POTA fan" then
I'd hate to see an example of what he considers "immaturity"! I
wonder if any of the other regular DG posters think Mike's slings &
arrows ("virgin" & "sperm-breath" etc) are "mature". Of course, if
they're not checkin' out THIS message board, they're not seeing the
True Mike Whitty -- they're only seein' him when he's on his "best"
behavior. Sorta like when Ted Bundy was courteous and composed during
his trial for murder -- he looked so nice & respectable that chicks
came out of the woodwork wanting to "be" with him.
Oh, well, some chicks can be frighteningly stupid -- the ones who go
for the "bad boys" and would rather put up with being abused by such
a creep rather than be treated respectably by a "nice" guy. What can
you say about the women who wanted to have a "relationship" with Ted
Bundy, after what HE did to women? He ended up showing his true
colors when -- to delay his own execution -- he started coughing up
some information regarding his other unknown victims.
Mike shows his true colors HERE. It would amuse me to see the DG
membership review his most recent outbursts over here and evaluate
the 'maturity' of his posts. Maybe on the POTA_DG_DG, if anybody ever
does start such a group.
And let me be the first to say that it would be an honor for me to
get kicked out of such a group, even if it is for just one day! And
then Mike can prance around like a showgirl and exclaim that he
FINALLY has undeniable proof that his nemesis, Patrick, actually has
gotten banned from a group! At least, for one day...

I do. I don't agree with it, but I like it. It's obviously had a lot
of thought put into it and makes sensible (if sometimes a little far
fetched) suggestions to explain the contradictions in PotA mythology
and from that standpoint I've never understood why people object so
strongly to it.
I certainly understand why people disagree with it - as I've already
stated, I don't really buy into it myself - but I don't know why it's
any different to the other theories that fans have come up with. If
anything, it's probably one of the most well-thought out ones, and I
seriously doubt that any PotA fans think of it as a "laughing stock"
other than the handful who have grudges with Patrick.

I thought it was Cougar and Alex? It was funny for a short while, one

It made money. It wasn't a financial flop, but not nearly what they'd had hoped for, though it was the big money maker for the year for them. They got double their money back at least, but when you compare it to the world wide receipts for the original it wasn't much. The original had one big expense -- the makeup -- and it did ten times cost/earnings.

In my case you are wrong LordT. My husband is a "nice guy" and I
married him. Just last month we celebarated our 20th aniversery. Our
life together hasn't been easy but we love each other even even more
than the day we become one. He isn't the handsome type but he his
smart and a hard worker. You are right about some girls suspecting
that "nice guys" want something in return. But if they did, they wouldn't
be so nice. Some nice guys might perhaps sing last. Little do they
know that it takes a special woman to become thier life long
companion.
Not to say I'm that special woman, but I try. I've been an ape fan for a
long time and was raised with ideals that what is under the skin is what
really matters. At the same time, I am a was raised to think freely,
accept and be myself.
Not to say that I am the few amongst the many women who go for
the "bad guy". Generally those who do, have experienced some kind of
abuse in the past. Abuse is vicious cirlce, and never ending thing. It is
hard to break a way from. I have had friends who married the "bad guy"
because they feel they don't deserve any thing better or unfrotunetly
failed to look skin deep --- seeing there relationship in an unrealistic way
or is stuck in fantasy land. Also they feel that they aren't worthwhile or
in some cases don't have a choice, as was my grandmother who was
married to abusive husband for over forty yeas. As result they end up in
life of being slapped around and are cornered ---- with no place to to go.
It they do divorce the bastard they usually go out and find another one.
As far as choice??? Well, these days we do have a choice as there are
a lot of programs out there as well as support. The most important
program of all is to give our daughters all the support and confidence
they need --- this coming from their fathers who are the best and far
most influence in their lives.
For example; if I were to write a story on Zira's childhood I would make
her father the most influencial person in her life --- he being her hero. His
character would be sort of a rebel who cares and loves his daughter very
much, thus you have DR. ZIRA --- a person who is free thinker, strong
and sure about herself. Wendy <.html

It is still considered a part of the Metroplex.

You must have forgotten about the private emails when I told you I live in
Dallas and you told me you live in Denton, T. That is how I have been "keeping
such close tabs on you". I don't think of Denton as a suburb of Dallas any
more than Huntsville is a suberb of Houston. I think Denton is about 50-100
miles from Dallas but I only go there when passing through. <.html
