Sure, I can make one for those that want it. I don't know quite what to
charge because there are a few variables. But if you are interested
please contact me and I'll see how much it costs to round up the
components (the Mego Astronaut bodysuit, white AJ boots and Mego body).

The belt buckle can be gotten from a repro belt and if you want the
type 2 style Mego body (instead of the type 1 I used because I thought
it would be more authentic) that can be repro too. The rifle is easily
available as a repro.

The head, by itself is availble here for $15 (scroll down halfway, it's
under "various heads")

Here's how the box back is coming:

Sounds to me like he didn't tour the USA in 1983/84 and visit the
places I did!

There is a strain called "red beard" that reminded me of Columbian
Red, but the US wins hands down IMHO.

I'll have to get this guy's contact details though Anthony! :)

By the way, although I remain an interested enthusiast, the last time
I did partake was 10 years (and around 60 kg) ago.

I tried it a couple of times nearly 25 years ago and was thoroughly
unimpressed. I'm a lifelong asthmatic who was raised by parents who
smoked (tobacco) heavily, so I don't feel like I've missed out on
anything except health problems by avoiding it.

My friend is in Wollongong, actually, and she recently stopped
smoking completely. I couldn't be happier for her.

Would you buy one if I sculpted it, T? I don't feel a pressing need for one myself, so I'd have to sell enough of them to make it worth my time and effort.

I understand.  I really like the bust that Apemania did, but it something
I can't really afford right now.  I should probably get a new Sideshow
to replace the one with the broken leg, but I keep putting it off.

What about getting the MEDICOM heads slightly enlarged... I'm not talking the Zira here, but remember, we were discussing the Lucius head? Maybe some here might be interested in a MEGO scale Lucius, etc.?

Show of hands?

I'd buy heads for Lucius or the generic gorilla.

Which generic gorilla do you mean? The regular one, or the "BENEATH" styled one?

Also, I wouldn't mind their Aldo head made to MEGO scale either, or the BATTLE Caesar (who would also make a decent Galen figure...)

The regular gorilla. None of the Mego sculpts are as accurate as the Medicom sculpts, but the Soldier Ape head is the only one I'd replace without hesitation.

Thanks for puttimg these in the files section. I already have my hard
copy of "Beware the Beast" but it was fun to re-visit the story and
to have a better copy saved on my computer, along with the folders
full of comics I've been downloading from Hunter's site for the past
        year or so. :)

I don't know what kind of prices y'all have seen out there for the Ultimate DVD Collection, but I received an email today from www.deepdiscountdvd.com and they are advertising the collection for $125.89 with free shipping.  I've ordered from them several times, and I've never had a problem with them.  They do ship media mail which takes a little longer to reach you, but the shipping is free.

"It is bad enough that Oscar-winning films now have to be political, far worse to model a serious political debate on bad movies."

So, the writer here calls BENEATH a bad movie!  Well, he's not too far off.  Anyway, I should say I've always been for the building of nuclear power plants.  What we really need, though, is fusion energy.  I wonder when we'll get it?

You’ll recall a couple of weeks back I mentioned that Ty Templeton and Joe O’Brien are nominated for SHUSTER awards.

It has just come to my attention that you can actually cast a vote at:

          www.shusterawards.com

This is something we should all get behind.

Thanks Michael, I've got my ballot printed.

If you want to see what Ty looks like, you can glick on the Gallery
tab on the right, and then scroll down to the 2005 Ceremony pictures.
You'll see Ty in a few pictures. (Apparently he's won Shusters in the
          past.)

Please do not ask who/what is "Ed the sock". All I can say for that he
is yet another Canadian celebrity that Neil enjoy if and when he
          decides to move here.

I'm hoping that some foreigners will recognize 'commader' Rick Green.
I believe that some of his "Prisoners of Gravity" shows have been
broadcast in the US (but I'm not sure.)

He mentioned this in an interview before REVOLUTION was released.

We speculated that he was referring to the MONKEY PLANET Graphic Novel (that was really just episodes 1 - 4 of the ADVENTURE series).

Looks like he knew more than us!
