Thanks Neil, it's appreciated and it's clear you've done a lot of
work on them, I saw the originals on Rich's link. Also I think there
were quite a lot of them too(?) Anyway, they look great.

This makes me sad. Years ago my roommate at the time was a huge Star
Trek The next Generation fan. He talked me into going to a convention
in New Orleans. It was okay. Not lots of non-Star Trek stuff as he
promised. Mariana Sirirtis (no idea on spelling) was really cool &
recognized I was Greek when we went through the autograph line. She
talked to me quite a bit (which drove my roommate insane). The next
year he tried to convince me to go again. I declined since I had
already done that. The guest ended up being Mark Lenard. My roommate
said there were other people there who asked Ape related questions &
he signed many a Urko pic. A few months later. He died & I blew my
chance to meet him in person.

Planet of the Apes Collective site but he's done a whole lot of work &
there's lots of new videos to view & download. Unlike most Apes sites
that promise future updates for months with no change, he's been true
to his word. Thanks for keeping me busy & I look foward to the sites

You're welcome, John.

I still have "Spoofs/Parodies", "Fan/Conventions" and POTA links to work on but It'll be finished by the end of next weekend. October. 27th . After that I'll have my e-mail posted for anyone who wants to contribute to the fan collective. Photos, Videos, whatever POTA. And of course I myself will continue contributing to the site over the months ahead along with latest news updates on the front page (main menu).

Sounds great. I have it but not in very good quality. Same for the POTA TV Trailer spots for Planet, Beneath, Escape and Conquest.

Once I'm done with the site, I'll see what I can do about posting them. But if your "Going Ape" is in better quality than mine, I'd be more than glad to host it. I'll keep you posted once I'm done with the site by the end of the month.

Yeah - I'll be too afraid to say if it needs any more tweaking anyway....should have heard the ROAR! :)

We are getting a few people to proof read BEGINS before we settle on it for colouring. There are quite a few changes to the text and - while Neil and I think they improve the story - we want opinions.

SO....if anyone in the group wants to read and comment, please say so. However, you will be expected to actually comment and contribute (unlike what this group has become!).

Can't say that I do. I wasn't even aware there were Blu-ray players for PCs.

It would be cool to buy one. Although I'm sure they would be quite expensive right now.

Alex - any ideas on how we can transfer the Blu-Ray to standard DVD?

I have downloaded a program but I think I need a BR player on the computer...

Anyone?

Every year there are less and less people to give interviews and

The night waning, the dawn was breaking, and it was time to go.
She offered me her honey buns and orange juice which I accepted,
devoured gratefully and made my apologizes begging her pardon.

After, there was nothing much, to say, I said my goodbyes
wishing to stay, but with an all day drive in front of me
and a un-airconditioned hotel room behind me, the fact
that I'd had virtually no sleep seemed inconsequential.
I hit the road -- driving away from the closely following
sun. it lapped me and sat between my visor and dash
for the rest of my drive back to my small Uni home.

I phoned to let her know I'd made it back in one piece
asked her how her flight was, chit chatted a couple
of small pleasantries and said goodbye.  One day,
one week, one month and one year after that she
passed away, and that was the last time I heard Kim.

Bizarrely enough, I actually inadvertently fondled her once--and was
lucky I didn't get my head handed to me on a plate. I had gone to a
convention with plans to interview her for a magazine. She was there
with her rock-star-type husband, and I was standing near a doorway
leading to the stage at which she was going to speak, so that I could
meet with her afterwards. I had my back to the door and didn't see
her enter. As she did so, I was engaged in a very animated
discussion with someone, the subject of which completely escapes me
since what happened next has since erased all memory of what preceded
it. As she walked through the door, I was in the process of saying,
quite emphatically, "No way!" (again, I have no idea what I was "No,
way"-ing) and spread my arms and hands wide in a
baseball-umpire-calling-a-runner-out-at-home-plate maneuver, to
emphasize whatever point I was making at the time. This had the
result (either fortunate or unfortunate, depending on how you look at
it) of me ending up with my cupped hand resting firmly on her
breast. I turned, startled, to see her jump back in horror and her
husband lean forward glare at me angrily. I think the sheer terror
and embarrassment on my face is the only thing that stopped him from
pummeling me, as it must have been clear from my expression that it
had been entirely accidental. They walked away, and she did her
presentation, and when I approached her afterward for the interview,
it was with absolute dread, hoping she didn't remember me as the
asshole who'd grabbed her chest. To make it less obvious who I was,
I removed my hat and jacket before meeting with her. Apparently, it
worked, as she showed no recognition (or perhaps she just had the
class not to mention it).

Hey Al! I spoke too soon...I was totally wrong. What I have is a VHS called "Hollywood Goes Ape"...a VERY low budget "documentary
' by Bob Burns about all the guys who used to play gorillas in old movies. It's interesting to learn about them (Ray "Crash" Corrigan" etc.) but Burns puts in skits with this blonde airhead and it's really bad. They mention POTA near the end but they just show the trailer.

No problem, Tim. Thanks anyway.

There will always be more to ad in the future.

I've since upgraded "It's not my time" with a higher quality mp3.

The music video now sounds much better.

Enjoy.

Only POTA connection is APJ produced. If not, that's cool....

First response I get either to my email or in the groups, gets it!

    I just did the calculations.
    With Medicoms going on eBay
for about $15 bucks a pop, an
entire chess set would run about $500 bucks,
board not included, if you could get the custom
pieces like the Alpha omega and the Icarus for
the same prices as an eBay Medicom that is.

Looking through the Heston diary entries again I noticed he mentions (I
don't have the actual quote right here) an 80-year-old woman brought in
to play the mummified corpse of Stewart. Anyone know anything about
this? I had assumed that wasn't a person. And given that the young
Stewart has about the same screen-time as the old Stewart, is it
certain Dianne Stanley played the younger version? All it says on imdb
is that she appeared in two other movies around that time (although the
titles would imply she wasn't 80 years old at the time).

I can't see that he mentions Stewart at all.  Of course he only writes
a paragraph a day.  And some days he only flys to Page for a half-day
splitting his time on other projects and his SAG work.  Most of the time
he's complaining about how bad the beards are or Linda Harrison is.  Or
some bit of business he has to do in the scene.  Yeah, film making sucks!
But for the actors it isn't that bad.  And he isn't even in makeup.  Big Baby!

Big Baby!

As to why her case cracked who knows: I suppose you could think that a piece of equipment smacked into it? (And that is a total guess, I'm not even saying I think that's the case.) But anyway, I'm with you, she died while they were in space...

The author was just wrong, and as you said, didn't do his homework. ***
