Wayne it's a relatively simple process.
On the Group's main page click on the 'Photos' or 'Files' link on the left of the page then go to the folder that you want to put the photo / picture in (or create your own folder).
Near the top you will see a link that says: Add Photo / File. Click on it and this will then take you to the upload page.
Browse to where the picture is stored on your computer, click on it and then click on 'open'. You can then if you want to, give a name to the picture (type it in the box directly under titled Name:) or just leave it and it will automatically use the name you already have it saved as.
To let the group know that something has been uploaded tick the 'Send a message to the group announcing this file'.
Finally just click on the 'upload' button near the bottom and the pictures will be put into the folder you chose.

Yeah, I noticed that but made the same assumption as Cougar--that the
page was meant to be printed upside down, to show that the ship was

that makes little sense. I may be persuaded to turn the page right
side up. I'm torn about this, because there's also the issue of posterity.

I also need to eventually tweak the first three chapters of the
Planet adaptation, as I neglected to take into account the fact that
Marvel's Adventures issues had extended versions of some of the
panels. However, I plan to finish the series and then go back to
re-do them, as I can't stand the thought of going backwards. :)

The masks and pullovers are Apemania. Some of the costumes were purchased from Apemania...some were put together by the members from their own sources....which is why there is a variation in the gorilla plum colors. It's really nice though to see a group of gorillas in action like this. It looks like it was a lot of fun.

The group is working on a member profile page/album so you can see who's got what costume, their real name, and where they are located and their chosen name.  The gorillas you saw traipsing about are all located in the UK.  It is a members only forum dedicated to the Planet of the Apes, and members are scattered worldwide.  A big part of it is costuming.  There are other bits that are very interesting as well...the forum is very photo intensive and GREAT for references.  Some of the members of the Forum of the Apes are members of the POTA or POTADG.

I don't think any of them are in the POTA group or PotADG group.

 

I didn't see the other Simon spotting for the gorilla crew...I didn't see him in the video...so he must have been the one holding the camera most of the time.  And there were other helpers who are not part of the forum that came to help that day, but I didn't see their photos.

 

When I can't get enough apes at the Mego Museum or Sideshow forums...or waiting for dust to settle at the PotaDG group...   ; )

I hang out there to get my ape fix.

Well I'm convinced. I'd say turn it up the other way, if it's right it's the only place it'll be shown correctly, if it's wrong there's plenty of other places it can be seen as originally printed.

Rich - I meant to check this out when Hunter announced it but forgot. This is a brilliant idea, if a massive undertaking (but that hasn't stopped you before). I've often wondered, having read all the UK comics, what might have been slightly different in other editions, and to have the definitive versions is going to be hugely valuable. Thanks!

Cool, I'm glad you like the idea. It IS a massive undertaking, though, so I had to take a week off after doing the first few chapters. I was starting to see black-and-white apes on my inner eyelids.

For those who have been downloading the Marvel Ultimate Editions from Hunter's site, I just wanted to let you know that the file for part 1 of the first film's adaptation has been updated, as I'd forgotten to incorporate the expanded panels of Marvel's Adventures on the POTA series until after finishing issue 3. Hunter and I also plan to replace the files for parts 2 and 3, once I get around to correcting them.
