Gorgeous sculpture by Sean Nagle, who also did the
Deadeye kit. Trivial fact:
this was the first item I ever imported from overseas. This was back in the
days where you could do such things without consulting with your Bank Manager
first!
The armour would suggest it's a study of General Ursus, and the rifle being held
over the head is possibly inspired by the TV show (and I've often wondered if
that a subtle nod to the statue of Liberty holding up her torch).
It was the first time I ever painted a horse, and I'm quite pleased with the
result. A mixture of spray can and chalk pastels—this was pre-airbrush days.
A huge chunk of resin for a base that could have taught WETA a thing or two.
