Hey guys. I just designed some Planet of the Apes LEGO sets I thought I'd show off. I work at LEGO and everyone there knows I'm dying for a POTA inspired LEGO theme. That however, may never happen due to Fox's relationship with LEGO. (Which I don't entirely understand, given LEGO can make Simpsons sets and that airs non Fox but whatever). Anyway, I finally decided to take it upon myself and put my fantasies on paper. Here's two days of LEGO digital designer and Photoshop for you guys. What do you think?

Also, yes, I know that's the wrong kind of mutant in the Forbidden Zone set but if it were an accurate recreation of the Beneath scene the mutants would all be underground and it would appear to have no conflict (seeing as LEGO minifugures can't really fight with their minds)

I have it on good authority that a group member here has a recording of Ted Post speaking about BENEATH while watching the film. How can we- as die hard POTA fans- hear this?

That would be Joe Russo. It was recorded in Ted Post's living room in the eighties while they watched a VHS of the movie on Post's TV. Russo told me he had to bring a player to play the tape on. It was the first time Post had seen the movie since he worked on it. I listened to a little of it. The audio quality wasn't good,and neither were Post's comments on the film. I wouldn't get too excited about it, but you could try begging Russo to make you a copy, but I doubt he would.
