Those are the "secrets"... It doesn't take much to figure out that with elements that are NOT from the film that it is not going to be a straight audio adaption...

As far as I'm concerned there's nothing wrong with having Milo included to flesh out some of the stuff that must have been going on in the background whilst we were seeing what was happening on screen in Planet. And as for a straight audio adoption of the film that adds nothing, I don't see the point. May as well just listen to the movie without watching it.

I mean they could have had a story which occured dealing with Milo, and even set at the same time as PLANET, but it should then be Milo's individual quest... People tend to forget that PLANET is Taylor's story!

And, as far as a PLANET audio adaption, it could be done as a "straight story", but in the style of a book on tape/CD or as a "radio-play" ... There IS a difference between an audio story and just listening to the film... I have a 7 hour CD set of the 1933 King Kong, (which I sadly haven't had time to listen to!) but it is the story of the film done in the "audio-drama" style... PLANET could have the same...

In what way does the inclusion change things though? You're really only seeing what had been intended to be seen anyway (at one time or another)... It's not like including the A/O bomb in BATTLE causes the story to shift and the bomb goes off at the end of BATTLE...

Everytime I try to go download it, I get the "We are building the page"
screen. Has anyone been able to get this yet.

Just to put words into their mouths for a second I just think the levels of frustration for them is quite high at the moment, it doesn't seem like a month goes by with out another internet spat,one way or another...

I have listened to the start of the audio... and well...

Having been caught up in the middle of one at the start of Jan' it just drains all your energy...

As I say it may not be my place to say but it looks like this from the sidelines.

I contribute when I feel I have something worthwhile. I uploaded a scan of Caesar's flyer from Conquest to the original group, and it's now on Hunter Goatley's site credited to Mark Nems. I'm not responsible for the original scan, but I am the one who made it available.

Sometimes it takes a jab to wake people up. This one was firm, but it was meant to be friendly.

I don't know exactly how long it took to get my font to the point where I was ready to share it, but I worked on it off and on for several years. That isn't the point. It was something I wanted to do. If you want to write, or if Neil wants to draw, then you should do it for your own pleasure and not because you feel obligated to the group. Nor should we feel obligated to comment on each portion that's doled out to us. That's like trying to discuss ten-minute sections of the movies or TV series. Sure, we could do it if we had to, but the discussion generated would be awkward and insincere. Quality of conversation is much more important than quantity.

Neil, you shouldn't punish the entire group because of the actions of a few. And don't kid yourself; denying us the pleasure of viewing your magnificent artwork is true punishment. You deserve to have your ego stroked once in a while, and you can see that I'm perfectly capable of it, but most of us prefer to comment on finished material. If you don't give us enough of a story to discuss, we can't do anything but praise the artwork, and it starts to look like you're fishing after a while. Understand?

 Yeah, I know you're not drawing to feed your ego, but the ego does get bruised when you do something out of love and it's devoured without comment. There isn't a person in this group who doesn't appreciate your work, and I dare say the group would not have lasted this long without it.

The only thing that was missed is the fact that whoever scripted the story of which you speak has it ALL WRONG...

They set there and say that they are retelling PLANET, right? Well, if that's the case they are totally incorrect in their story, as there is only one Lawgiver, and he had been dead for roughly 1,200 years before the events of PLANET even would have happened!

Well, there may be one lesson: If you're gonna do PLANET as an audio drama, do it R I G H T...
