When you concider $20 includes shipping, I don't really see where the problem is. As long as the quality is as good as what was offered this time around. It's worth every penny. I
know I'm probably alone here but I'd love to see the comics printed (even in black & white) & I could take or leave the articles. We all know there is not much to report on in the world of Planet of the Apes
until/unless the new film really happens. I like the thought of a Marvel Mag style continuing comic.

Have just come across this set of
clips from a full length Brazilian made film based on POTA.
Anyone know anything about this?
Have watched some of the clips and it is a spoof but very well made and with a
great deal of affection for the POTA franchise.

I have to agree with Mike, Maz and John - it really is a more rewarding experience to have the physical printed comic. It's a real kick to see Neil's art in full colour too, but if
came to a choice between continuing in B&W or stopping, then definately carry on with B&W. I think the articles make it 'more' than a straight-forward comic project, so ideally I'd like to see them continue,
but again, they're not the main focus of the Zine...

I didn't realize that POTA's home studio is 75
years young in 2010. And to sellabrate, er, I mean celebrate, they are gearing
up for a big year long promotion, including a new website: www.fox75th.com . The link below has a list of
some of the DVDs that will be coming out this year. "Rocky Horror" on blu-ray?
I'm there! Nothing Apes-wise so far (well, except for filming a new movie) but
we don't want to bite the hand that feeds Cornelius. Happy Anniversary, Fox! We
wouldn't be here without you.

Is there any value to old POTA books? I work at a library and grabbed myself a movie edition of the Bouille novel that somebody donated with a bunch of
old books. It has the ape head on the cover, and somewhere there's the raft. Back cover has the cage scene with Taylor and Nova. It's not in perfect condition by any means, but it's not falling apart or
anything. Just shows the unavoidable age signs when a book hasn't been kept in immaculate condition. I didn't see any tears or stains or missing pages or anything like that.
I already have a copy of the original book, but I couldn't pass up this one, even if it's not worth much. :)
Mel (who might donate or sell the newer copy or something, not sure yet)

Cougar! Don't make Fox angry. You wouldn't like
them when they're angry.
Say you're sorry, Coug, and go back to your home
while you've still got a "Caesar" to go to in 2011. I'll put in a good for
you with Tom Rothman. (sung to the tune of Virgil's lines from "Battle").

Is there any value to old POTA books? I
work at a library and grabbed myself a movie edition of the Bouille novel that
somebody donated with a bunch of old books. It has the ape head on the cover,
and somewhere there's the raft. Back cover has the cage scene with
Taylor and Nova. It's not
in perfect condition by any means, but it's not falling apart or anything. Just
shows the unavoidable age signs when a book hasn't been kept in immaculate
condition. I didn't see any tears or stains or missing pages or anything like
that.
I already have a copy of the original book, but I couldn't pass up this one,
even if it's not worth much. :)

Ape Crazy was a fanzine published for 7 issues in
1992-1993 by Mark and Tim Waszylysyn
To help them out I helped distribute it for
them
I still have sets of all 7 issues together for only
$20.00 shipping included
If anyone is interested you can send money through
paypal to
These brothers were big fans and published lots of
reviews of the comics, films and other general fanzine goodies!!
Some issues included original stories and even
original comic strips which were really good!

I got my 2 copies and just finished reading
it
I knew it would be great and yes it was
!
The quality is very impressive - mainly of the
comic strips in full color
I will try to be thorough with my review
here
Cover is very attractive and catches your attention
- I dont think this is Neil's best work but still is great
Print, layout, fonts are all nice clean and easy to
read - could have used more variety on the text articles to dress them up
more
The Genesis storyline looks amazing and I'm
curious where the story is going
Definitely feel the Kirby-Hulk style of early 60s
Marvel artwork - very cool
The coloring in Begins looks superb!
Top quality!
The story at first made me think I was going to be
reading "I Am Legend"
but quickly switched to a Conquest
feel
I really like the detail in the artwork, the lines
in he apes hair
Wiki article was nice overview - would like to hear
more about some highlights of the site and where Neil would like to see it
going
I personally would like to contribute more myself
but havent felt much vibe or response from anything yet
Painting POTA - nice detailed breakdown by Graham
Hill - as I am not an artist myself I would like to hear more about the
breakdowns of these methods and
what they actually mean as I am art illiterate in
terms of details and equipment used
Great article on Jessica and her amazing work - she
definitely deserves more coverage for the amount of work and POTA-patriotic
pride she has going out and displaying her amazing costumes
The art on page 36 of "the patient" is killer - wow
a bit graphic but holy cow I love that detail
I got copies #8 and #9
Price? Well
since I have published over 700 fanzines in the past 22 years I know what it
takes to pay for printing
I know $20.00 is a hard sell but I was happy to pay
it as I know you just simply can't do it cheaper than that due to the color
interior pages
Should it go black and white just to make it more
affordable? Well that vote should be determined by the
majority of buyers
but I personally say if you like the color then you
have to pay for it and I prefer the color!
Most magazines have a print run of 50,000 copies
and still cost $5.00 each so paying 4x higher for a magazine that is 1000x rarer
seems a fairly trade
You can't try and please the cheap people all the
time - they will never be happy - we live in an age where people basically want
stuff for free
so either give it away for free OR if you are
going to charge do it right and they will appreciate what you do
Early issues of Ape Chronicles look very "cheap"
now due to modern standards but the point was you can only do so much with a
printing budget of $1.00 per issue!!
We've raised our budget now to $7.00 cost to print
each issue - now in the computer age we can make stuff that looks 50x
better plus add the better paper, the color cover and better layout
Everything is better!!
One thing to consider is that you printed the
magazine in what I like to call European page size which is larger than what is
North Americans are used to!
and I'm not a fan of book sizes that are not
standard ! (though I realize it is standard for you)
I will ramble some future thoughts for you to
consider!
First of all it would be nice to see you get proper
licensing and get distribution from Diamond Distributors and get every comic
shop to carry this.
There must be at least 2000 comic shops in North
America so if you can get each store to order 1 copy then hopefully it could
potentially make a little money
but even if there is no profit it would bring much
more awareness to POTA and to your product
What I might suggest is you work out doing 4 issues
similar to a comic mini-series as I really feel your fanzine really is about the
comics
I dont think anyone would pay the $20 to read this
just for the 4 short articles (as good as they are!)
Do the 4 issues yourself , then get licensing, then
re-size into comic book size format and distribute next year through
Diamond
If the new movie happens this would be perfect
marketing time to cash in.
A new movie would drive sales up at least double
and then it might be come profitable. - it comes down to what 20th Century
charges for a fee - I have no idea!!!
The main thing that would get costs down is some
advertising - get some websites to pay for advertising, or perhaps POTA
collectors, comic dealers, toy dealers, mego etc.
I would study up from Ty and find out how many
copies were sold of the 6 Revolution issues and how many they had to print and
what their printing costs were
and what process they had to go through with
Diamond to get distribution.
You also really should check into amazon.com and
see what it takes for them to list your fanzine - copies would sell over time
and again bring awareness
keep plugging on ebay even if they aren't
selling
If you want this to reach a larger mainstream
audience you have to get the cost down
but the only way to do that is to either get
advertising or distribution
I would NOT cut on the quality or it defeats the
purpose
and I wouldnt criticize your audience and expect
that everyone will buy this - cause the majority will not
there is very little new POTA products that come
out but that isnt a reason for people to buy it just cause it
exists
I do NOT buy any of the figures, statues, posters,
etc
I only like printed stuff and there are some fans
who will NOT buy any printed stuff - they want all the stuff that I dont'
want!
As you know we have a small serious fan base so the
trick is to work together and lets really promote our 3 fanzines and build a
unity out there so people realize that POTA is important
AC, SS and FZ have all benefited from each other -
it drives us all to put out better and more professional looking
product
Competition makes things better
One thing to note that forever everyone thought
that Apesfan #1 was the best POTA fanzine ever made.
Well it might be true but I also like to point out
is that they made a great product and then quickly disappeared
Respect needs to be given to everyone who keeps
promoting POTA continuously over the years and not for the fame or fortune
So I am hoping FZ #1 does not become a one-shot but
that it continues long in the future and we continue to work together to promote
it to new readers around the world!
Good luck!

Thanks Terry. I did always get high
marks for creative writing through school and University but I never took
myself seriously. I am taking this story line very seriously though and
it’s good to hear a positive.
The great thing is we can go
ANYWHERE! It’s 500 years in the future, on a timeline scenario
where, if Escape, Conquest and
Battle stories exist, it’s going to be in an
alternative timeline, that exists because Cornelius, Zira and Milo
changed events.
So it’s a genuine PLANET prequel,
which is how I so hope any movie also goes.
It should be obvious now that we are
basing our apes on the “Stalin Ape Army” article (which now is said
to be a fake, but that just makes conspiracy theories more rampant!). This
means the whole development of apes to the point where they are more like
humans can be implied to be caused by genetic engineering and the
cross-splicing of genes.
Of course Kronos does not look like the
POTA apes. But he did gain intelligence and the power of speech, and, as
we will explore more in the next issue, he has been cursed with longevity.
So will Aldo say “no”? Only
time will tell……

.html*** No offense to your story, but it really is an alternate timeline
itself... While I prefer the ambiguity of the way the apes took over pre-PLANET,
going by the scenario explained in ESCAPE, the whole thing was because man
took apes as pets which, over time, led to them becoming servants... There
was no mention (or indication) that they were being altered to become
military creatures... Whether or not people like the "pets to slaves" scenario, it
is canon and it's not just the cheap plot point of CONQUEST, it was also
used to explain how originally apes rose to lead to the world of PLANET... Even
with ESCAPE, CONQUEST, and BATTLE being in timeline two, apes slavery is
PLANET's "prequel" according to the history lesson given in ESCAPE...
There's nothing wrong with where your story originates, or what it's
contents are, but the way it's all laid out, I see it as an alternate take on the
concept (at least as far as how the apes eventually came to power...) ***

My story might simply explain how there
came to be so many apes, but it should be able to exist with “pets to

But that won’t actually be mentioned

offense to your story, but it really is an alternate timeline
itself... While I prefer the ambiguity of the way the apes took over
pre-PLANET,
going by the scenario explained in ESCAPE, the whole thing was because man
took apes as pets which, over time, led to them becoming servants... There
was no mention (or indication) that they were being altered to become
military creatures... Whether or not people like the "pets to slaves"
scenario, it
is canon and it's not just the cheap plot point of CONQUEST, it was also
used to explain how originally apes rose to lead to the world of PLANET... Even
with ESCAPE, CONQUEST, and BATTLE
being in timeline two, apes slavery is
PLANET's "prequel" according to the history lesson given in ESCAPE...
There's nothing wrong with where your story originates, or what it's
contents are, but the way it's all laid out, I see it as an alternate take on
the
concept (at least as far as how the apes eventually came to power...) ***

One more night until Wondercon. My gorillas are pretty ready...I only
have the boot covers to sew for the older gorilla. I'm not putting that
much effort into the boots, since I'm not wearing my chimp boots anyway...
I really hope I find someone else who is into costuming as much as me
and who would love to just wear a costume and go out in public just
because. It's really really fun...I also love the make up aspect of it,
the transformation that slowly occurs.
I revamped my hairline and I have all the parts to the costumes in one
handy heap. My makeup is also grouped together now. And I ordered a
fresh batch of tooth black in case I did not have enough. I also
remembered to buy my liquid nutrition for tomorrow, so I'm pretty
set. I hope I do a good job tomorrow. I have a feeling we'll
still be the only apes in town, but at least I'll be flanked by my
gorillas. It will be fun, and I'm really looking forward to it.
It's been six months since I last put my ape on, and to me that seems like
forever.

Sent: Tue, April 6, 2010 2:10:02 AM Subject: [PotaDG] Wondercon 2010
The time had finally come again to don full ape regalia. I had waited 14 months for this to happen again at a big splurgy event. In the meantime I had satisfied my cravings to go under the goo at least
four times inbetween the long awaited convention, but all minor in comparison to the magnitude of the crowds at Wondercon. I nervously paced myself to start on Dylan's costume two weeks prior to the
event. It was a hidden blessing that I was at this point jobless, so I could concentrate my efforts into something meaningful, rather than just juggling the same damned balls at the dreaded slavemines. Two
weeks prior to debut a costume that had to be a knockout was riding on the edge of disaster, and this added the necessary stress to really light the fire and jumpstart the monstrous project that I knew was coming.
This meant recreating a stunning pullover hood for the other gorilla that would flank my
side, including all the accoutrements that comes with the standard gorilla soldier issue. This also meant recreating some of my baby gorilla's costume so that my gorilla soldiers should at least look like
they were from the same army.
You see, the first Wondercon I attended was the first time I had ever glued on the appliances. I was meant to partner with my neighbor and go ape out at the 2009 event but health issues had forced him out of
the running. Although it was a wonderful experience from all the commotion I created, it was still a psychologically taxing experience to be the only ape in town. Walking aimlessly about hoping to bump into
another ape at the convention was something I had done during the whole convention. At the end of the 2009 convention, it was really heartbreaking to acknowledge that yes, we must be a dying breed.
It was only on Halloween that it dawned on me that I should bring my two boys to Wondercon in costume as gorilla soldiers, to alleviate the loneliness that I felt from my first Wondercon experience. The brave
souls who have donned full ape regalia must feel this awkwardness I think when they find themselves in the same predicament. Brian from Apemania graciously offered to help me gorilla-fy my sons with
child-sized gorilla appliances. I had been meaning to recreate the appliances myself, but the drudgery of work, the time sucking hobbies I dabble in and chasing other monkey dreams made it impossible for me to
meet the deadline. Three strikes against me already, and I hadn't even counted the chimpchange necessary to fund such a fantasy.
Anyway, this is becoming too much of a novel. Enough with the chit chat and bring on the photos!!
I decided at the last minute to wear a lei since I felt that I had gone too dark with the makeup. At least this way I could explain that I had just gotten a much needed respite in Hawaii. This image was
taken before we were registered. http://img405. imageshack. us/i/dsc03059a. jpg/
I had a funny experience at the registration. The person helping me out was quite flustered and wanted to know how old I was. I said, uh....43? He was trying to give me a child's pass, for
children under the age of 11, if you can believe that. He said my height confused him, but I said to blame it on the makeup.
Ashton of course made the cutest of all gorillas. Marina Sirtis had to lift him up (all 35 pounds of him) so that we could take a photo together, since he is so short. A lot of people who were taking
photos did not even realize he was part of the entourage, because he was easily lost underfoot.
It was unbelievably crowded and many times we were unable to move since it was all about critical mass. It was worse than last year as far as body count was concerned! I had to get a breather and go up
for some fresh air as I felt a bit claustrophobic with so many people in one giant cave. It was there that Ashton saw and posed with a costumed Ranger. If you could see it, Ashton is all smiles here as he
poses with his favorite one, the Red Power Ranger!
We chatted a bit with Don Pedro Colley, who remembered me from last year. He was happy to see the boys so splendid in their costumes. He made Ashton stand on a chair to be able to take this photo:
I was afraid to approach Lindsay Wagner for a photograph because I did not want to tarnish my image of her if she was all about dollar signs. Luckily for us, she was a very gracious lady. I promised to
e-mail her this photograph so that she could post it on her Facebook page.
We said goodbye to Don before we left for the day. I got to hug the stuffing out of him again and it felt so good!
Looking back, it was quite a fun and freeing experience. I only wish now to be able to go to a bigger event, but who knows when that will be? Hopefully by then I will have become an expert at making my
own foam latex appliances. When I first found the hidden pathway to the Ape Kingdom (thank God for the internet!), I only lived vicariously through the other members of this wonderful community of simians.
Never in a million years would I have guessed that I would someday be chimping it out in public.
My husband treated me to a power sized serving of macha green tea from Jamba Juice because I had been craving it all day. I offered to buy the Jamba Juice myself, to freak out the servers, but he told me to
stay in the car. My tired little feet did not mind one bit. When I got home, I read the Monsters in Filmation magazine that my girlfriend surprised me with. I read the article about my most favorite of
sequels while fully dressed in ape regalia. I read it slowly and with much pleasure, savoring every written morsel no matter how dated the article was. I secretly wrinkled my nose and chuckled to myself when
I saw my hands in full makeup holding the magazine up. Oh, the simple joys of living life to the fullest! I had experienced geek nirvana and I did not want it to end.

I have just now read through it and have given it the proper attention it deserves. Honestly, I am not a comics reader and have never been, but am really blown away by Neil Foster's artwork. And I want to
know how the story will end. Michael/Neil you have my full attention now. Hurry up and get cracking on the next issue, please! It's like the long awaited desert which given one taste will make you want
more.
Graham, I have always loved your artwork and it's great to read about how you create your masterpieces. There were a few surprises in there as well, from the sneak peek in the long awaited Conspiracy graphic
novel to the material that Ty Templeton submitted and are showcased in the centerfold. I won't spoil it for the rest of you monkeys. This fanzine is truly a labor of love printed in full color glory, so if you
haven't picked up your copy, I believe there are some issues left. You may order directly from Michael Whitty here by sending him $20 which includes s/h all the way from Oz:
mswhitty@...
There were only 50 issues printed in this limited run and it's golden. You can almost hear the angels sing when you first open the magazine to reveal the treasures within. I can't even discern the
pixelation on the colors of the magazine...it's that stunning.
Bravo, Michael. Keep up the great work.

In the interest of keeping up on where Fox's head
is at during this "Caesar" era, here's the latest. Sci-fi legend Ridley Scott
tells MTV that the prequel to his classic "Alien" is a go, saying, "There's no
question about it, we're going to make the film". He still hasn't said he'll
direct it, but the interview suggests that he will. Curiously, it sounds like it
won't feature the iconic title creatures but go in a new direction because he
says those creatures have been bled dry by all the movies (he says of the recent
"Alien vs. Predator" flicks, "what a pity").
Scott hasn't touched a science fiction film since
"Alien" and "Blade Runner", both often considered in the Top 10 (or even Top 5)
of the all-time sci-fi classics. If he's willing to dive back in with Fox on
sci-fi (especially one of their almighty franchises) maybe they are putting
their best foot forward, and that might be good news for "Caesar".
Scott says he hopes to release the movie in late
2011, a year that will already be heavy with prequels to both Fox's
"X-Men" and POTA, but it will probably be more 2012. And the new Robert
Rodriguez "Predators" opens this summer. Good luck, Fox.

Wow. Some cool stuff. It also gives me hope that there may be more Planet of the Apes fans out there than we sometimes like to think that there are.
We went to the New Orleans Comic Con yesterday & the offical photographer for the event had a fatastic tattoo of Marcus on his leg. We talked for a while & he's a huge fan of POTA (& many other retro items) He has a
pretty insane toy collection. http://www.myspace.com/hanzondrumz
I had a few other people comment on my "Caesar Christ / Chuck Satan" tattoo & 2 people even took pics of it. So Planet of the Apes may not be as dead as it feels sometimes. I just think its harder for us to
stumble onto each other. Hell, I found this group by accident all those years ago.

The 68 million dollar weekend that Tim Burton's POTA had does go to show that there are many POTA fans.
The film didn't end up being a mega hit only because both the film and script wasn't all that great.

Worldwide, Burton's POTA made about as much as
the new "Star Trek" film, which was considered a successful relaunch. "Star
Trek" cost $150 million and made $385 million worldwide. POTA2001 cost $100
million and made $362 million worldwide. So POTA was certainly a success from a
financial standpoint. There's an audience there.

.html*** While I agree with what you're saying in theory, there are a lot of
variables to consider... Too many to just pigeon hole it down so easily...
There are some who will be all over it like flies on sh*t, simply because
of the name...
Then there are some who are hard-core and will only accept the original
incarnation(s): the films and TV series, but there are also some who HATE the
TV series and looked at it in the same way I looked at Burton's film... And
I'm sure that there are some who only see PLANET as any good and had disdain
toward everything else... (And no doubt there might be some literary types
who see everything as pure trash and as a bastardization of Boulle's book)...
Even the two biggies, SW and ST have their splinter groups, all is not
"one" in their collective fandoms... There are those who only want the original
trilogy and have hatred toward the prequels (and after seeing EP 1, I can
see where they're coming from) and there are those who will cheerfully snap up
every incarnation of media with the SW label on it...
ST has those who are hard-core and only care about the original series,
where later fans of TNG look at that as ST's high point and look at TOS as
hokey or whatever... Then again there are those who will tune into ANY series
with the ST name attached and love it to death...
All franchises have their people who view all of the incarnations as pure
gold because of the name, and some people are smart enough to look beyond the
name and pick and choose what they like...

might have one missing because it has all the "key" players except for Jeff
Burton aka Dodge... It was good seeing all of the apes properly identified, and
not the usual "any old orangutan can be Dr. Zaius" mind set...
I'm guessing these are somewhat rare, but being they were cheap
fair/carnival give-a-ways/prizes, there's probably boxes of them in a warehouse
somewhere...
And they can't be too old, the dead giveaway being the PLANET logo is the
altered one... </HTML> <.html

I'd say for sure their planning POTA sequels.
I would like to see somewhere in the sequels, astronauts landing in the future (launching before Caesar's take over) and seeing both ape and human culture hundreds of years later. Even seeing the astronauts
returning and trying to prevent it. You gotta mix it up a bit. Which is what made the ape films so successful. Otherwise you'd end up with a canceled TV series which pretty much the storyline never changed
from week to week.

Well, it's like anything. Good creative storylines and strong budgets can make anything a winner.
But sometimes good storylines can be effected by a low budgets. Especially when your dealing with sci-fi. So the POTA TV series will always remain as the never ending "could have been
" had the network not been so cheap.

over the word "the"...
Plus, a lot of things from the 70s would show at least some aging... Yes,
pristine examples of things CAN be found, but cheap plastic like that tends
to yellow a little and/or maybe gets a few hairline cracks in it... They're
cool for what they are (and especially since they're original PLANET!), but

Here's the whole list of stuff.....there are also mini pinball games!
http://shop.ebay.com.au/morethantazos/m.html_nkw=planet+of+the+apes&_sacat=0&_trksid=p3911.m270.l1313&_odkw=&_osacat=0&bkBtn=The seller says: "These toys were made in
Argentina. I found them in a shop - this kind of toy
having been made in our country for a long time. They were used in
several ways:
Gumball and cereal premiums. Gifts for birthday parties. Funfair prizes,
and
gifts at small circuses. (When I say "this kind of toy" I mean rings plastic
watches, medals, key rings, etc.)"
Odd that the maker decided to do a thirty year old movie as a theme for these!

.htmlTrying to define "Fan" is not something that you will ever get any
consensus on. The reason being that there are different types of fans
that participate in fandom in different ways. Nothing wrong with that.
I do disagree that a fan is, or even should be, someone who is almost
guaranteed to try a new product associated with the target fandom.
That's the mentality that fosters abusive merchants putting out
overpriced and/or crappy merchandise. A fan may be reasonably be
expected to be more excited about the products and more likely to pay
a premium, but that doesn't mean they have to be stupid and get ripped
off. Another factor to consider is that everyone's financial situation
is different and just because they are not buying a particular product
should not lessen their status as a fan.
I think that when presented with obvious outrageous prices for things
that could easily be sold at more reasonable lower prices, one should
put their foot down. I would rather not encourage those pricing
tactics. I tend to give the Rittenhouse cards as an example. Some
people liked them, and if that was the case and they believed that
they were getting their value for the money, then that is fine. But a
lot of others like myself thought that they crossed the line not only
by having out of the ballpark pricing, but also by almost entirely
omitting 'apes' from their "Planet of the Apes" product line.
On the other hand, I've spent a lot of money over the years picking up
odd items in shops or on ebay. I've got books, comics, magazines,
fanzines, action figures, CDs, DVDs, posters, and even a lot of the
cheaper and more available vintage material. But I'm not a buyer of
the high priced or rare vintage stuff. Does that make me any less a
fan. I hope not. Participation is much more indicative a measure,
discussion groups like this being a good example. So we're all fans
here.

Jeez….they had the opportunity.

And guess what?
I still don’t own a set……I
tried to get a cheapie on eBay but so did quite a few others….

Thanks for that
Dario, they would have been scans of them as didn't have a camera back then so I
will dig them out and photograph them and hopefully the photos will show
more detail.
You are correct,
they were from a dollar store. I haven't seen any since though, I was just lucky
to have been in there when they had just put them on the shelves. I
think similar ones also came out in the UK under a different name with
slight variations as well.
Neil T. Foster
I had the pics you sent years ago saved and have uploaded them to the
group: Photo Album: Ape Attacks
I've never seen any high quality
pictures, so If anyone has better pictures feel free to share.
I
believe Neil mentioned at the time that these were dollar store finds. I've
always kept my eye out for them in dollar stores for the faint hope that
they were mass produced for the dollar store market and would appear in
local stores, but no such luck.
Dario

I have the Ursus looking figure. It came with that large collection I won off of ebay with those t-shirts, etc. I've never seen any of the other figures anywhere.

I just looked at the pics of the Apes Attacks set in the photos section & they are quite different than the one I have. They are very "futuristic" & have guns etc. Mine is very
barbarric & comes with a club & shield with the words "Fight for Blood & Honor" under the Apes Attacks logo. Neil, is your set like mine or the pics? I added pics of the one I have to the Apes Attacks folder.
